Santana Moss - He's just a talented receiver. Maybe not a fantasy guy, but boy is he dependable.
Ryan Kerrigan - Who's Brian Orakpo again? He's been overshadowed by a rookie since training camp.
Chris Nield - It's sad that you could tell when the 36 million dollar man was on the sidelines because that meant there was pressure coming from Nield.

Good:
Fred Davis - The stats don't lie, he could be a gamer for us if used correctly.
Josh Wilson - Played terrific tonight.
Rocky - He stood out more than Fletcher tonight in my opinion, which is high praise for Rock.

Bad:
Armstrong - He needed at least one of those two drops/defensive plays
Jammal Brown/Chris Chester duo - They had some bad bad plays.
Atogwe - I was not impressed tonight with him at all.
Orakpo - Where is he? I saw him cause legitimate pressure once where it looked like he had been held, but otherwise he just floated all night.
Barry Cofield - Just "meh", made a very nice play on the 4th down.

Ugly:
Trent "Silverback" Williams - ....................... Bust......
Reed Doughty - To nobody's surprise he almost blew the game early again.

Huge team win tonight. Having a stable quarterback, a consistent running threat, and an aggressive well schemed defense and you can see what happens... You win games.
He was simply a monster out there. He MUST be on the field more.

Sometimes I wonder if we're all watching the same game. Davis had a great game... not just good. And Rak had a few pressures and blocked the FG as well.

That is flat unacceptable.
It wasn't just him. The whole o-line was getting pushed around. But that dude Piere Paul looks like a serious man out there. I don't see Osi getting his spot back.

Re: Giants-Redskins Gameday Thread

Now that this first game is over, I would like to see more consistency out of this team both on offense and defense. On offense, our o-line needs to improve and we need to get more out of our running game. We saw what happens when Rex has time and he is not under pressure. But we need to have a solid running game to open up our passing attack. I guess it was bad seeing TW get dominated by JPP, I hope he does better against average pass rushers.

In the defensive side of the ball, I hope we get better production out of Cofield than what we had during this game. I do think that a rotation of Neild and Cofield is something to look forward to and will help the defense big time. The Kerrigan/Orakpo combo is going to be sick. The big question mark continues to be the secondary. Landry needs to come in and play period. Doughty is a back up and there is a huge drop off when Landry is out. As someone said, he's a special teams guy and a back up. That's it.

Who the hell said that Davis had a just "good" game? I guess 100-yds from a TE doesn't impress many people.

Another example of media hatters

Rapid Reaction: Redskins 28, Giants 14 - NFC East Blog - ESPN

In my mind, the Redskins were neck and neck with the Giants the first half and straight up dominated them in the second. This article is all about the Giants losing...the only reason I bring it up is b/c Graziano is actually pretty good.

Well they pay the Giants too you know. They're a good team. Part of the reason the o-line played bad was cause Piere Paul is going to be a special player. He's just a difficult guy to block one on one. And there really can't be too much complaining about the defesne. They scored a TD, blocked a FG, and held the Giants scoreless in the 2nd half, all this w/out #30. I'll take that effort 16 games a year.

If any of you have Sunday ticket and want some help paying for it, pm me. Id love to use my ps3 to watch games, but figured it might be an economical solution to share an account with someone. Basically I'd use your username an password to watch games on my ps3 and pay you for he service. If you're interested, let me know how much. Thanks!

I like that Cofield has to peep over his shoulder a little bit. This is good.

This is why you keep those damn draft picks. D-line has a bright future.

And I think it's safe to say the staff made the right decision by keeping Truck over Anthony Bryant.

Re: Giants-Redskins Gameday Thread

Since my last post was negative, I'd like to add the positives from today:

Rex's performance was great, and most importantly throwing for two TDs in the red zone (which had been an issue with us before). I think Hightower did enough in the running game to open up the passing game. And when it counted, the o-line gave Rex time to throw. Davis was HUGE and I think that we should run two TE sets. Also Moss showed his typical reliability and both Armstrong and Gaffney made some huge catches.

The defense was great, the turnover and score was a huge shift in the game, and the pressure on Manning was what I expected given the state of the Giants o-line. Also, the 4th down stop was huge and they were able to stop the G-men's running game when it counted.

As far as special teams, it was disappointing to see Gano miss the FG. But ST did come up huge with the blocked field and I thought Rocca did a helluva job punting the ball.

I see a lot of good things going for this team, and I hope that as the season progresses they are able to do even better things. The Giants were not their typical self, but a we had an opportunity and took it for the W.

Yeah, TW should have handled him. Pierre Paul is a beast but the knock on him is that he is just raw talent. Going up against polished pass rushers like Tuck, Osi, and Ware will be much tougher so Silverback needs to nut up quick.

Yeah, I saw that when I re-read the article. The first time I read it I was so incensed that every paragraph began with 'The Giants' that I had to post it here. Visceral reaction lol.
