I'd really like to see us be able to add both Rodney Hudson and Paea with our two second rounders. That or trade out of one of the seconds for a third plus extras.

It seems like they favor Wisenski over Hudson if they decide to go that way.

I just want us to draft one of those guys. No preference, just get a Rabach replacement.

If we do, then getting a QB will become a smarter choice too. I do not want Andy Dalton to be lost in the preseason to a broken ankle inflicted by his Center.

That didn't work with Andre Carter so this concerns me. But can't complain too much about moving down and getting a 2nd rounder plus filling a need. That was a steal.
Almost all 3-4 OLBs in the league(successful or not) played DE, like Suggs. How many colleges actually run the 3-4?

Well done sir.

But you could have easily gone with " With all due respect, you're a feckin' idiot. Well bless your heart, you must have been dropped on your head as a child."

Since Shanny passed on a quarterback, I would rather seen him get a shutdown cornerback, Prince Amukamara. The Giants got him and the Skins are going to pay twice a year.
at least 2 failed attempts? who?

The difference I see here is that Carter was a tried and true failure at the position in two different locations. It's unfair to compare when we haven't yet seen Kerrigan atempt to master the position.

I'm confident the team is reasonably sure the transition can be made and because they released Carter and drafted Kerrigan is sufficient enough for me to believe their intention is not to repeat the same mistake.

Purdue's Kerrigan sacks the try-hard stereotypes - NFL - CBSSports.com Football

Old article, but for those who are concerned about his transition to the 3-4, read this excerpt:
Quote:
Some teams think he's athletic enough to play standing up as an outside 3-4 linebacker. I see him as a 4-3 end. To help prepare for a possible transition, Kerrigan spent time working on linebacker drills and did some at the Purdue pro day last week.

Re: Redskins Made Smart Choice With Kerrigan

I just hope Haslett is finally smart enough to move Lorenzo Alexander to ILB next to London. If so and with the addition of Kerrigan, we will no longer be ranked near the bottom against run like we were last year. If we replace Golsten with a legit NFL 3-4 DE that will complete our transition into being a good 3-4 defense. I still see Golsten as the weak link. He is a good back up and good as a pass rusher, but weak against the run.
3-4 defensive linemen have to be able to stop the run or else catastrophe like 2010.

For me, the real wildcard is Jeremy Jarmon. He's battled injuries and losing/gaining weight (per team request). Will he finally step up as a factor this year?
