Joe Webb may be a diamond in the rough for the Vikes...

Re: Around the NFL: Week 16

I was just going to say that, physically, Joe Webb is the complete package as a quarterback. No way to tell if he'll ever develop into a nice passer, but the Vikings would be foolish to not enter the year with him starting, especially considering they likely won't do any better in the draft. Plus, that team is going nowhere next season.

Yeah, I guess one can say that Vick is one of those guys who can overcome his own misreads....

Man, Jason Avant has sucked this year. He even handed us a win this year.

Re: Around the NFL: Week 16

They should really make a rule that a division winner at .500 (or under) gets the automatic playoff bid, but doesn't get a home playoff game. It's sad that a team like New Orleans has to play a crappy team like St. Louis at their house.

Re: Around the NFL: Week 16

Looking at the final week of the season it looks like the decision to go with week 17 division games is paying off. At least in the NFC

Chicago @ Green Bay - Green Bay playing for it's playoff Life, Chicago playing for home field advantage, though I think they'll have a better idea during kickoff as to weather or not they have a shot to win the number one seed. With New Orleans and Atlanta both playing 1:00 games. Obviously if Atlanta or New Orleans wins they won't be able to get the number 1 seed.

Carolina @ Atlanta - Falcons playing for not only division title but home field advantage throughout the playoffs

Tampa @ New Orleans - Tampa fighting for their playoff lives, New Orleans fighting for division crown and number 1 seed.

Rams @ Seahawks - Essentially a playoff game. Win or go home.

Giants @ Redskins - Giants fighting for their playoff lives. Redskins for some reason trying to win so they can say they had a 3 win improvement over last year?

Re: Around the NFL: Week 16

The eagles are not better than GB, or Chi. Their defense will crumble in the playoffs and pressure will get to Vick and cause turnovers just like tonight, same old eagles yea they are electric but that speed in December doesn't mean as much, it's about running the ball and stopping the run.

Personally I like it the way it is, win your division and earn a home game.

Re: Around the NFL: Week 16

I really have liked what little bit I have seen of Joe Webb. Maybe he won't make it once teams know him, but his two appearances have been decent performances. (Far better than anything Tavaris has ever shown, again in my limited knowledge of Viking football.)
