Re: Mike Singletary Fired
Yup and let's go back to RFK and wear the Gold Pants with the Burgundy tops and the Helmet with the Spear on it but only during games that start at 1:00 and the date is completely divisible but 5 because that's how many letters are in the name Cooke !
Oh yeah and Dan Snyder has to sell the team and sell it to John Kent Cooke for 6 dollars but then donate that money to The Washington Post !

Yea, we should make it a rule that the Redskins get a new coach every year.

Same here, some things aren't even worth validating with a response.

Re: Mike Singletary Fired
i think andy reid went from position coach to head coach. some guys can do it and i though mike s. was going to be a great hc. i think his old school ways kind of did him in. all that getting in the players faces and berating them doesn't work in todays nfl. also i remember reading that his practices were a mess. very unorganized and messy. john gruden will be their next head coach.

Re: Mike Singletary Fired
I truly understand where everyone is coming from, because there is no stability here. But Honestly Do you all think Shanahan will be here for over 3 years??? No.. With the talent this team has, we will continue to be an under .500 team for the next couple of years. And if you think Danny Boy is just gonna sit and let that happen. Whew, yall have something coming. As the stadium continues to have more and more empty seats due to the losing season. Danny Boy will make a splash move to get people back in the seats.

Re: Mike Singletary Fired
Diehard I understand where you are coming from but I believe you are contradicting yourself. It seems that you were saying that Shanahan should watch his backe because he hasn't done much besides sign Torrain and that you feel that the game has passed him by.
Then you say that Dan Snyder will not sit and let the team play sub .500 ball. So which is it ? Or are you one of those fans that really needs and wants that splash so that you can care again, but just can't admit it ?

Re: Mike Singletary Fired
Shanahan signed a 5 year deal, I expect he will be here for at least that long. I don't think he came back for a quick hitter.

Re: Mike Singletary Fired
Shanahan better be here for the entire 5 years. I really cant take any more "change" we need some consistency more than anything else.

Re: Mike Singletary Fired
Gibbs was under .500 for his 2nd stint here, and DS would have let him continue on and heck he wanted to sign him on for an extension.

Re: Mike Singletary Fired
Tough situations for Singletary to inherit but he made a good run lack of QB play really hurt but that team is underachieving they are young and likely to make it a run for the division nest year b/c Hasselback isnt getting any younger and the cards are dismantling just leaves Stl.
