Never, ever forget, we do not deal with teams within our own division! Except the deal for Sonny J. with the e-girls, years ago! For example, we would not entertain any kind of proposal from J. Jones and the cowroids two number #1s for our pick! Those moves with other division rivals always come back to bite you!

Re: On the Hole(s)...
Well Boss Hog, at least every other team in the NFL does not know who we're going to pick either, contrary to previous years.

Re: On the Hole(s)...
Offiss - I certainly understand how you can like the kid, I haven't personally see him play but if stats talk he doesn't shutup. Unfortunately I don't see your scenario as workable. Personally I don't see Rolle as the top CB in the draft, however I think he'll be the first picked. In order to get a decent 2nd pick we'd have to trade down and get Carlos Rogers (who I like a lot by the way!) I'm not going to cry if we get a CB or a WR, but I'd like one of the top 3 of either of those! (Williams, Williamson, Edwards, Jones, Rolle, Rogers in no particular order.)
He's definitely a good project, but I remember the Ravens drafted a kid just like that. Huge, good hands, great speed, great verticle, played at a small school and hasn't even seen the field. Never know what you get. |

As far as WR's go it work's both way's wasen't david Terrell just released, and we have had our own share of first rd WR flop's. We both can point to guy's who missed and made it in the top 10 and in the later rounds. I really don't like to put a lot of emphisis on stats, or a player's physical dimension's, but more so 1st and formost is he a instinctive football player? And how does he move, is he quick rather than fast, is he fast rather than quick? How does he get in and out of his cut's? Can he create seperation in a short area? Does he know how to use his size to his advantage? Then you can add in the stats. To many guy's as you have hinted at pad their stats against inferior competition, I don't believe that's the case here, my judgement here is what I saw from him at the combine and his body of work in college will translate into the NFL. I was very surprised to see how well this guy run's and cut's for his size, I defiently wasen't expecting it but he really opened my eye's. I think he's the player we should target in the second rd. but I don't think it will happen. As for Rolle I like the kid I think he would be perfect for Williams system, I know Pac man has the speed but a little short on instinct, and I really haven't seen Rogers play to make a fair assesment, but I am not against that scenerio either, as for Rolle he has Sean Taylor like instinct's at CB could easily play saftey. |

Re: On the Hole(s)...
I understand where you're coming from, I just prefer the guys who are a bit more proven, but you can certainly get steals from small colleges. Some of the best players ever came from small colleges.
We'll agree to disagree! |

I here ya, but let's face it until you prove it in the NFL you haven't proven anything. Success in college doesn't mean success in the NFL and likewise. I know I am a little more of a risk taker than some as well, but that's where the big score is, remember either Edward's or Williams could be a bust as well, although I think all of these guy's will succeed at the next level. |

Re: On the Hole(s)...
I say D line......but probably can't address that with our 9th pick no studs out there at that position. Any word on Courtney Brown.....
We need CB And a taller WR to go along with our Smurf receivers....... For later rounds........... Are we satisified with our guards....... TE............. LBs
