I could easily see Houston beating us...
I could also easily see Houston choking big time, still celebrating their Indy win...

Not sure about that. I know I get the one comcast channel from there, I don't know what local station it would be on. I am able to get fox sports network and comcast from other markets, but it usually blacks out professional sporting events. I can get baseball games that are close to my market, but since all NFL games are on FOX and CBS affiliates I only get my local games. Aside from what they show on the Redzone. Perhaps that is something to check into.

This is a good test for both teams. Skins to see if the offense can get on track and Houston to see if they can have the same success on the ground against a tougher defense.

Also, anyone know if the Skins have any plans of using more two TE sets? All this hoopla about the receiving corps has me wondering why we didn't see more of Cooley and Davis on the field at the same time.

Re: It's F'ing Houston week!

We have a massive advantage in this game.

The two teams are very familiar with the offense that the other side runs because in many ways it's the same scheme from the same tree.

On defense we are still largely an unknown.

The Texans defense on the other hand is very well known by the man that runs our offense. It just can't hide from Kyle Shanahan as he knows it too well.

I expect a strong performance from the offense this week.

Our run D needs to step it up from the Dallas game for us to pull this one out. If this Foster kid is the real deal, he is going to get a 100 yard+ day on us. Even so, we can win as long as Kyle gets our offense clicking. Our D is pretty tight, but like somone said in the game 1 thread it is like a bend but don't break look so far. Bend but don't break defenses are fine as long as they create turnovers.

I don't know that we end up seeing it anymore than we kept hearing about it in Zorn's era.

ATDHE.Net - Watch Free Live Sports TV

you can watch all the games here for free. I mean it's not HD but it's better than going to a bar and you can save some coin. I like to stay by my CPU during football games for obvious reasons.

He's been jogging and doing some light work but not position drills. He says that he's moving fine laterally which is obviously the most important line to cross. He hasn't been ruled out of the game yet and said he hopes coaches don't so that yet. Says he's definitely ahead of schedule.

I'm thinking they will target a key player and do the same...Andre Johnson will probably get his catches regardless, much like Austin. But if we can keep him from hurting us deep,I think we can manage that...

Owen Daniels is a darn good TE and we will need to keep him in check like we did Witten.

But to win,I think we need to keep their Running game in check and put lots of pressure on Schaub and try to force turnovers with our aggressive Defense.

If we can cause fumbles and get a pick or 2,we can win the game.
I think Schaub can be rattled...and we need to find a way to do it!
Owen Daniels is not even up to full speed yet, he's been hurt.

He'll be a nonfactor.

Arian Foster scares me though.

Nope, just tried to do it since the Eagles/Lions game is on in my area.

You can add Superstations from anywhere a la carte...have a couple of NY and Chicago stations so the wife and I can watch her Yankees and my White Sox games...but you can't do it with local network affiliates, just tried to add WUSA so I could watch the Skins game without looking for a stream.

I think both teams could be in for letdowns coming off huge division wins. The Kyle Shanahan connection could play in our favor, but we need to get the offense cranking to keep up with Houston's high powered attack. Unlike Dallas who was all hype, Houston actually delivered week 1.
Any given Sunday... right? I keep hoping that the reason we didn't do so well was because Dallas does have a top ranked defense and hoping that Dallas does have a top ranked offense that we were able to shut down. With that said Houston does not "supposedly" have as high a ranked offense or defense as Dallas so "hopefully" we will be able to move the ball better and score more easily. Plus keeping their offense to minimal gains and scores. If Dallas was all fluff then we might be screwed against Houston.

I also wonder how much of the scheme the team didn't use knowing we would be playing against a team with a similar offense style/scheme. I keep wondering if the coach's possibly tried to limit what they did in the Dallas game so Houston would not have a lot of game film to watch and plan around. Why do I ask? it just didn't look like the team was running a whole lot of different plays. It would be really interesting if the team came out and used a bunch of plays they didn't use last week just so Houston wouldn't know which route the WR's would be running and where to expect the ball to be thrown to.

I just don't think M.Shanahan wants to be beat by his protege, and K.Shanahan does not want to be beat by his very own system. I hope they have a really good game plan set up to throw Houston off and help our defense.

I just don't think the Colts are as good as they have been in the past. I see them on the decline just like I see Dallas and the Giants. Yes the Colts can score pretty quickly but I think they can be scored on pretty easily also. Houston had a field day with the Colts and perhaps Houston's defense is better then the Colts.
