Re: NFL regular season thread (week 1)
I initially drafted Meecham and I offered to trade him for Braylon Edwards. This guy jumped all over the trade and I'm so glad. Thing is he already had Colston, so I don't get why he wanted Meecham so badly. Oh well, it worked out fine for me.

Re: NFL regular season thread (week 1)
You're kidding me right? I mean I'm not really much of an Atlanta fan but no way do the Steelers beat the Falcons minus Big Ben. I just can't see them beating them with a more seasoned Matt Ryan and a healthy Michael Turner.

But I think Dixon can do a lot with his mobility They're at home and the Steelers still play very well on D The falcons are a turf team playing on grass Won't be surprised if I'm wrong...but this was a decent upset pick imo... Had it been at the falcons, then no way do I pick the Steelers here...

I had it as 4.5. Either way, it's amazing how good the oddsmakers are.

See those pics of Favre's ankle and thigh after the Championship game last year? My god looked like he was in a car wreck.

Re: NFL regular season thread (week 1)
Okay. So the Saints were forced to have a safety shadow their TE, essentially, taking him (the safety) out of the defensive equation for any other coverages or run support. Instead of 8 in the box they had to play (essentially) 7.5 in the box b/c Harper's first duty was to take VS out of the passing game. Also, I am assuming this put the other receiver's in man coverage also or at least in zone coverages with fewer defenders, and yet, Minn could not exploit this either through its running or passing game.
Not good.

Re: NFL regular season thread (week 1)
My father in law ( big cowpokes fan ) told me if we don't beat them without Kosier and Columbo, it will be a long season.. Man I hope we beat them tomorrow, oh and he also said Dallas is by far the better team lol.. We shall see in less than 24 hrs! HTTR
