Well, that's why they are good, because they don't have to run one into the ground with a ton of carries. I hate the Cowboys just like the next Redskins fan, but to say that their RBs are mediocre is a bit laughable. They may not be great this season b/c of their crappy offensive line, but that's the offensive line. Meanwhile, the sight of Kemo/Carriker/Golston being pushed around by the Bills line concerns me a lot.

His track record with this team to date strikes fear in the....who? It is a "what have you done for me lately" .......and for 21m?
And who was responsible for being in shape last season...collapsing on the field.......taking plays off.....
He was a difference maker...he currently is obviously something else........

Which DL on our current roster is better than HAynesworth? Who on our D-line can we offer as trade bait like we did Haynesworth and actually get a draft pick in return? GolsteN. LOL!
Say what you want about an out of shape loafer that was Haynesworth last season. He deserved it last year.
He is back in playing shape.

Wasn't advocating it. Remember Montgomery is often compared to Haynesworth-in the sense that he wastes his talent, and he's not considered nearly as talented as Big Al. I was just speculating

Funny you should ask. Listening to Sirius NFL radio the other day and Jim Fassel was on (HC of some UFL team) basically if the UFL has started thier training camp then an NFL team cannot sign a UFL player until the UFL season is over.

So if the UFL is not in training camp but a player is signed to a UFL roster he can opt out of the UFL contract and come to the NFL.

Once training camp is underway the player is locked into the UFL contract until the end of thier season.

I am not sure if the player in the UFL is locked in until thier team is done playing example being if the team did not make the playoffs is he locked in until the UFL playoff period is over.

I'm concerned about our run D with AH. He can only play one position on the DL, either NT or DE. Kemo hasn't looked particularly good at NT and our DEs are average at best (Carriker, Daniels, Holliday). Golston is a high motor guy, but an overachiever and not an NFL starter IMO. We also have major issues in the run game at OLB. Anyone who thinks we're making a deep playoff run this year is sadly mistaken. If we get in as a wild card the season will be a huge success.

Does AH make this year's D better? If he's on the field, doesn't have a phantom injury, and isn't half-assing it every other play, he makes this year's D better. But, does anyone actually expect him to be here long-term....I certainly hope not. We have to face facts, we've got a bad apple and we're not getting any more than a 2nd for him, if we can get that. But a 2nd is better than nothing and we should be able to pick up a quality DL in next year's draft with that pick.

Rome wasn't built in one off-season.

There are some things, like our running game for instance, that I'm comfortable with, even though it hasn't looked stellar so far. I can't say the same for rushing defense. With Barber, Choice, and Jones coming into town Sunday night, I'm afraid they might churn out 200 yards on the ground against us. But with AH, I'd feel safe in saying our prospects are much better.
Honestly he kinda scares me in the 3-4 with how undisciplined he plays. And there have been whispers from some players that they're concerned about him too.

It matters not who he is or is not....better than. If the guy is unworkable in his current "work" situation, then it is a mute point.
As to conditioning, he became the league laughing stock for failure to pass the conditioning test that most of the ESPN clerical staff passed on their lunch hour. TRULY an awesome speciman......

I was concerned about this during the Jets game, and even AH himself talked about needing to be more disciplined in his game. I thought I saw some improvement against in the game against the Cards. Honestly, I think this is an issue with the whole line in general.
