But the larger point here is that the excitement that was buidling following Shanahan and Allen joining the organization has largely been muted by the Haynesworth drama. The fan base's expectation has been a mixed bag. Now we're in wait in see mode.

I will say, however, that a London Fletcher fumble recovery early in the Dallas game will go a long way to erase the negative press and feelings around all of this. A lost to Dallas on the other hand, might have the reverse effect and keep the rumor mill churning for another week or two. Provided that Haynesworth is still on the roster.
we're in wait and see mode anyway...with or without ah and his baggage.

You trade Haynesworth for Britt straight up and you're basically trading Haynesworth for a first round pick. Again, to good to be true.
Hell no I wouldn't do that trade.

He said it much more in an I'm not going to throw a single guy under the bus type of way than anything else in my opinion

LOL, oh yeah forgot. But in any event he can't show up at the park till after game 3 so he has 3 weeks of learning the play calls/book. Then he can practice which gives him 3 weeks to incorporate what he has learned. Then hit the field like wild fire.

Jason Reid is reporting that the Skins, as a contingency plan, are working out a current Redskins defensive player (not Kemo) at the NT position but they won't say who.

Heard Shanny mention Carriker playing some NT depending on scheme. Seems small but if we just blitz all of our front 7 who cares. Thats how I play Madden.

jokes, not good ones, but jokes.. other than the AC thing.

I truly feel these are smokes screens being thrown up to prepare for the dallas game. He is too much of a dominant player to just get rid of now. He may not start sunday, but he will get his share of snaps in.

Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth

Sheft also reported that the titans inquired to the redskins about the trade..

They came to us...so this changes things a little in perspective...

So don't be thinking we went to them and said..."please Titans...please take this malcontent off our team....you're the only one's that want him...please!"

OK?

So Tennessee wants him...we're just asking more than what they want to give...probably like the chargers are wanting more for V-Jac than we want to give...lol (presuming we're the mystery team or not)

If you come to me on a broken down chevy that you have and want to sell to me for a 1000$....I probably won't pay that...

if I go to you and want that broken down chevy REAL bad and you're asking for 1,500...and I don't want to pay that...would I pay a 1000$ for it?

we'll be alright people...

Conditional 2nd/3rd and 5th is reportedly what's being discussed. You never know with Bruce Allen though. Skins have become masters of the misdirection.
