Quote:
Gray: When did you decide to make this decision: this morning, yesterday, about half an hour after lunch when your stomach was upset? Favre: This decision hasn't been made. Gray: Who have you told about your indecisiveness? Favre: You, Childress, Ziggy, my neighbor, my wife, my mom, those kids I workout at high school with, my teammates, those kids from the boys + girls club in the background, some guy I met at the 7-11 down the street, The Rog, President Goooobama, the cameraman over there, and I guess just about anybody within listening range. Gray: Do you regret it? Favre: I regret eating the food ESPN has prepared off set. Bean burrito my ass, that was more like a laxative burrito. Gray: Are you gonna miss it? Favre: Well shucks, I mean I'll miss sticking it to that worthless Green Bay franchise twice a year now. Gray: So what is your decision? Favre: I've decided to buy two-ply toilet paper, now that I'm retired I can afford to buy the good stuff. |

re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
The Biloxi, MS newspaper said yesterday evening that according to a member of Brett's family, Favre is not retiring.
The family member in question is assumed to be Scott Favre, the QB's brother, who said that as of yesterday, Brett told him that he was "unsure". He also says on his facebook that Brett hasnt officially retired and as of last night, was still telling friends that he was unsure.

re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
I just don't understand why all the media people report on this w/out hearing from Farve. It's like they're so desperate to make the report but it's not even confirmed. At this point with Farve they should know better. Of course Farve could come out and squash everything but his ego is so damn big that I think he loves all the hoopla.

re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
He could play till he is 50 as long as the ankle holds up.
To Retire or Not Retire, that is the question.

Favre will sign for $16.5 million, up from the $13 he was scheduled to get.

re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
Thats what I said when I first heard he would "retire." This is nothing more than a ploy to get attention and a significant raise in light of Stafford's record-breaking contract.

re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
If this is just his usual drama and his need to be wanted, I can let that slide.
If this was for a money grab shame on Favre. |

Re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
According to the article, Favre never even explicitly told his teammates he was going to retire. he allegedly just sent some of them texts saying, "this is it" which is so vague it could mean anything. he might not have even been making a play for more money, as i first suspected. like so many other things, this has been blown way out of proportion.

Re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
The cries of pain from fantasy football owners who cut Favre can be heard from miles away.

Re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
I think he will come back. But, I think that this is the LAST season.
This is the vikings one Last GREAT chance. Childress will tell him that, and there is no way he would refuse coming back for that kind of money, with that kind of team, with a super chance to win a super bowl and go out on top.. A NFC champioship game visit is pretty much a sure thing for the vikes if he signs. |

Re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
I don't know if it's a sure thing, but the Vikes should be a playoff team for sure.
I like Green Bay and, gulp,.... Dallas in the NFC Championship game. **I think I just threw up in mouth just now.** |
