If Chunky and Sexy both go down, we might as well start running Swinging Gate on every play.

Shanny has said he may go with just two QB's, so it's like you said earlier, both Colt and Bart could be on the outside looking in.

On a side note: SS we need you to use your POI along with your connections in the area to lobby for the bleachers to return to Redskin Park. I know it's not exactly your expertise but I've been lobbying to no avail. I'm an old man and diabetic, standing for long periods of time does absolutely nothing for me. j/k of course, but it worth a try ha!!

If they both go down, we are not going any where this year. That would be a nightmare.

I am scared to see Rex for any amount of game action other than a quarter or to.

If anyone thinks Rex Grossman is the answer at back-up, I question their judgement. He may do ok for a short period of time, beyond that he'd be suspect.

Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread

I'm starting to love the idea of a no name receiving corps. Maybe we'll see the corps be Moss, Galloway, Fuery, Hodge, Armstrong, and Austin. Notice that theres two names missing that are usually there. One guy that might end up being a steal is a guy named Hodge. Here's his draft report.

Quote:
"He may be overlooked because he's not on an Alabama team that is No. 1 or a

Florida team that's top five," said teammate Kendrell Lockett. "But how do you overlook a guy who has over 1,000 yards receiving and has accomplished some of

the things he's accomplished? The numbers he produces? How common is that? You can tell what kind of athlete he is."

Hodge has been clocked under 4.5

in the 40-yard dash and he has decent size at 6'1'' and 207 pounds. He is by no means an athletic freak of nature, but he consistently gets the job done by

being physical at the line of scrimmage and catching almost anything that is in his near vicinity. Furthermore, Hodge is rock-solid both on and off the field

and he will enter the NFL with no red flags whatsoever -- not even with any kind of injury history. As a result, Hodge should see his name go off the board

sometime on Day 2 of the upcoming draft, perhaps as early as round four.

This is why the Bucs are stupid. Now get Colt out of there and sign Snead!

Come on BA! Get in there and bring in the Slammin' Snead!

On a side note it's pretty bad that I have no idea who this Hodge guy is Dirtbag. And why haven't we heard anything about him being solid at the minimum? I'd love for a no-name to step up and be a consistent player for us but I'm not hopping on the bandwagon for this guy just yet.

I think if you look at the pass-catchers on this team, not just WRs, the group of Moss, Cooley, Davis, and (to some extent) Portis more than give McNabb a solid group of targets who should be on the field together at least 40-50% of the time.

Didn't Shanny typically carry just two QB's at Denver?

They may make a trade for Orlovsky instead.

Some Twitter updates

RedskinsDotCom Roydell Williams a starter? Could be, per Mike Shanahan. He just caught another nice downfield pass from Rex Grossman.

colinkirschner Roydell Williams has joined Joey Galloway at the top of the Redskins depth chart at split end. I know its the beginning better motivate DT!

sbnationdc Your daily reminder that Joey Galloway is really, really old, featuring a video of him dunking in 1995. Half Smokes Highlights: Joey Galloway Could Dunk...In 1995 - Half Smokes - SB Nation DC

RedskinsRT RT @RedskinsDotCom: Yes, OT Trent Williams is working with first team. Largely unnoticed is that WR Anthony Armstrong is also getting some first-team reps.

Terrence Austin: The rookie wide receiver has seen a lot of passes come his way in the first two days of camp. "He is a very intelligent player," head coach Mike Shanahan said. "Very few guys can come in late and pick up the offense as quickly as he did."

Watching the defensive linemen running through drills, I noticed that Jeremy Jarmon is working with them.

He was listed as a linebacker heading into training camp, but he has bulked up to 286 pounds and is now listed as a defensive end.

Jarmon could develop into a swing player. He has versatility and could slide inside to play nose tackle in pass rushing situations.

Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread

Anyone else noticing how all the players that Shanahan and Allen have brought in seem to be doing pretty well -- Galloway, Grossman, Williams (Trent and Roydell), Larry Johnson, McNabb, Austin etc. -- but the guys who are struggling a little bit -- Haynesworth, Thomas, Kelly, Brennan -- are all holdovers from the Zorn/Cerrato regime?

Maybe I'm reading a little too much into it and it's only the third day of camp but it's good to know these new guys are making good impressions.
