Gus didn't have it, he had a quality line with Lachey, Uhlenhake, etc. Jenkins was a decent TE also. He could win 7-8 games, but couldn't turn it up that one notch that might have made him a franchise type. JC is a better athlete than Gus, but I think he has had some time to work out his mechanics and the consistency needed to be a real franchise guy. The sad condition of the line does play a part in this, but our line wasn't all that bad last year or the year before. |
