Moss and Vick on the same team?! Judging by Vick's passing performance, I don't expect he will even become an ADEQUATE passer even with years under his belt. I think Moss would have an even harder time with him than Boller.

smootsmack:

I'll let Crazy Canuck do the math down to the decimal points, but I read somewhere that the Falcons have $10M of cap room heading into the off-season without making any roster adjustments. That means they have the cap room needed. Now about the players the Vikings ought to want on defense, that is not nearly as clear.

I just wonder if maybe Moss could improve Vick the way TO seemed to do with McNabb this year. I mean Peerless Price as a #1 receiver is not the answer in my opinion

As for Jerry Porter he is a local guy but I hear that he's anxious to reunite with Gruden in Tampa, and vice versa.

McNabb was an accurate QB beforehand. Vick just flat out has no aim. He has a great arm, but pocking passing just isn't his forte.

I found this on silver & black illustrated, possible trades for Moss, Skins not included thank god:

THE RAIDERS -- While this one would likely entail a sign-and-trade with WR Jerry Porter, Al Davis has always had a love thing for Moss and he would give the vertical offense Norv Turner loves a real shot in the arm.

* THE CARDINALS -- Denny Green has always loved Moss and was supportive of him from day one with the Vikings. The rumored deal here would send Anquan Boldin and the Cards No. 1 pick to the Vikings for Moss -- giving Green Moss and Larry Fitzgerald, another player with Green man-love all over him.

* THE JETS -- This one caught us by surprise, since the Jets have either used high draft picks or traded high draft picks in recent years to get wide receiver help. This deal would include trading Santana Moss and at least two picks or Moss, a defensive player and a pick.

* THE RAVENS -- Brian Billick made a splash going hard after Terrell Owens only to be rebuffed. If Moss is available, you can bet he will step up.

The wild card here is whether the Vikings have any interest whatsoever in trading Moss -- which it is possible they don't. If, however, teams get into a trade frenzy and the ante gets kicked up, anything is possible. One thing is for sure -- there are a lot of teams that believe Moss is available and that could lead to the "offer they couldn't refuse" being put on the table in the coming months.

Raiders... how ironic would that one be?

The word today is the Vikings owner has given the team permission to seek a trade for Moss, stay tuned.

What if Philly went after him? I understand there's probably no room for two egos that big on one team, but stranger things have happened (A-rod and Jeter on the same team)

Aren't the Vikings in the process of being sold? What if the incoming owner wants to keep Moss?

Redrock - if football didn't have a salary cap, like baseball, we'd have everyone on our team.

Moss's contract is only like 7M this year, which isn't too bad. I really think the Ravens (as much as I hate that) have the best shot at getting him. They have an abundance of defensive players, and a high enough draftpick to get a decent receiver in the draft.

True about the salary cap, but the Eagles cap situation is good and with some creativity, probably could get him if they wanted to. While I raise the thought about Moss to Philly, I do not believe it will happen, but I never rule anything out.

I think Philly, an already successfull team, would have to sacrifice too much to get Moss. They'd probably need at least 1st and 2nd sent to MN, maybe even more, plus a player or two.

One Baltimore radio station says that the Vikes want Chris McAlister plus a first round pick this year and a second round pick next year from the Ravens for Moss. Obviously, I don't know if that is correct or not but IF IT IS, that is much too high a price to pay for a guy who admits that he "dogs it" on the field at times.
