He goes to Arizona, who had a horrendous line, and turns them around into one of the better lines in the league. Warner got killed in St. Louis, but he has time to throw in Arizona. You know why? Because of Russ baby! Bring in Russ!
How do you know this? He is just as unproven as a head coach as Jim Zorn was when he was hired. Those lines in Pittsburgh and Arizona weren't scouted, drafted and built by Grimm either.

Re: Do you expect Zorn to be fired

I know one thing, those 3 (2nd round picks) we used for receivers, should have been used on 3 quality Offensive linemen. That way our line would be better. You build a good team from the inside out, not the way we are doing it. We could have survived a few more years with Moss and ARE. Time for the other receiver to see the field. This offense does not even through past 15 yards. No wonder they cannot score more than 20 points.

Mutiny on FedEx Field!!!

I say make all of the culprits walk the plank! Feed them all to the sharks!

Start with management; Dan Snyder, Vinnie Cerratto, Jim Zorn, Greg Blache, Sherman Smith, Stan Hixon and then the players; Jason Campbell, Clinton Portis, Ladell Betts, Phillip Daniels, Cornelius Griffin, Stephon Heyer, Malcolm Kelly, LaRon Landry, Antwaan Randle El, Carlos Rogers, Chris Samuels, Mike Sellers, Fred Smoot, Devin Thomas, Mike Williams and Fred Davis.

Fire them all!

Re: Do you expect Zorn to be fired

All those draft choices we gave up for players who aren't even with us now. Snyder wasn't crazy for hiring Zorn, but Zorn was crazy for taking the job. doesn't Snyder see that Vinny has caused multiple problems for this team? I agree that Vinny must go! What would the 'Skins do if they fired Zorn? He's already under the bus for players who don't even deserve to be in the NFL.

Re: Do you expect Zorn to be fired

Firing JZ is NOT the answer. To do that and hire another coach by the same people that hired Zorn in the first place just invites more of the same.
And BTW, it ain't Zorn's fault. He was put in a position by VC, and Dan that is more than he is equipped..."today" to deal with. It should be fairly apparent by now neither Dan, or Vinnie were qualified to do so.
What we DO need to do is hire a "Hot shoe" GM and dump it ALL on him. That is what they do. He would have plenty of time to evaluate what we have, and what we need...coaches, players, scouts, etc. There is also time to see what coaches are available, as there appears to be numerous candidates.
AND DANfinger (see Bond, James Bond...circa 1960ish) can have VC carry his clubs, and maybe he can get on of those cool steal lined hats, like that Asian guy and...well you get the idea........HTTR

Re: Do you expect Zorn to be fired

There are some things that are Zorn's fault though. Case in point...calling timeout on 4th down and justifying it by saying "well we weren't sure where they were going to spot it. Would it be 4th and 2, 4th and 5, 4th and 7." That's weak. Even if the spot is questionable, it's never a matter of 5 yards. That's ridiculous

Welcome to the Mutiny. See chairman RuhSkins for your marching orders. Oh yeah, this is chaos. Just do what you feel.

I thought the slant to Moss was a great call though, but Campbell tried to throw while moving his front foot laterally. Just stand up and throw it.

I'm not saying Zorn hasn't done some...ridiculous things...time mgmt...play calling....etc.
BUT, he should NEVER have been in this position in the first place and a competant GM would never have put him there. He may make a great HC some day, but it was obviously premature for this year?

People also think Aaron Rodgers is a good QB. People also think Colt Brennan is a good QB.

It's all a matter of perception, to a reasonable extent.

Re: Do you expect Zorn to be fired

Jason is (to date) an average qb that COULD rise to greatness with the right support around him like great protection, running game, recievers consistently opening up, etc.
---See Mark Rypien
He does not have those things to cover his....average-ness

Re: Do you expect Zorn to be fired

Some interesting comments by the reporters and some Redskins staffers following Zorn's press conference today

"He looks like he wants to cry"

'Dead man walking"

"Don't have this kind of pressure as a QB coach in Seattle"

"This is more depressing to watch than the game"

"Snyder needs to put him out of misery"
