Late last week, Daniel Snyder, the owner of the
Washington Redskins, was preparing for his weekly lunch with Coach Jim Zorn. On the outside, speculation swirled that if the Redskins were to lose to the
Detroit Lions on Sunday, Zorn would be gone after just 19 games. But Snyder had a different take: he watched the Dallas Cowboys lose to the
Giants the previous weekend and concluded that the Giants looked awfully good, so maybe the Redskins’ struggles against them in the season opener did not signal a dire situation after all.
