Re: Meet Cody Glenn
hey, Cody Glenn has an opportunity to meet Fletcher and McIntosh. I don't really expect him to do much more.

Re: Meet Cody Glenn
Dude we drafted Petey Jones from Remember the Titans. Formerly highly regarded RB that was able to make a switch to LB.

Re: Meet Cody Glenn
I like this pick more than Henson. Has upside, I think what you see is what you get with Henson, could play some MLB as well. Not expecting him to be a major factor in 2009 though.
Figure we'll see a run on OL and hopefully a RB with our UDFAs

Re: Meet Cody Glenn
Just more special teams fodder, assuming he even makes the team.

Re: Meet Cody Glenn
Waste of picks. complete waste. Hope I'm am dead wrong as I was about the impending Sanchez trade but both Henson and Glenn will amount to nothing more than meaningless names in 2010. I know I'm over-reacting but I'm pissed we passed on 'steals' (Duke Robinson is a baller) and it is the 5th round, not the 1st so we could afford to take a risk even if some consider him to be lazy etc... and we reached on Glenn and Henson, most probably we could have invited on Mon as undrafted FA. Anyway, I would grade our draft as C-, only because I like Brian Orakpo, it should be around an D or F, no 2nd and 4th and we waste what few we have.

Re: Meet Cody Glenn
A lot of teams passed on that "baller" too.

Re: Meet Cody Glenn
I was a big advocate of Duke back in January..but enough extremely knowledgable people convinced me I was way off on him. Still surprised he fell so far.
I'm still most "upset" about us not getting a good running back (namely Rashad Jennings).

Re: Meet Cody Glenn
I was a little too. I felt like if Oher and Orakpo were gone and we hadn't lost our minds and traded for Dirty then the best move was gonna be to fall back if possible and take Wells or Moreno in the 15-20 range. Or fall further back and get a Tackle in the 28-40 range. Maybe Betts has a few more miles left on him and he can learn not to fumble. We really need to work him in more consistently and effectively.

Re: Meet Cody Glenn
Well I think it's clear we tried to upgrade our depth and special teams. Seems to em that we follow BPA religiously after Rnd. 3.

Re: Meet Cody Glenn
C. Glenn sounds like a guy that they really wanted & feared that he would get nabbed before their pick in the 6th. He sounds like a good athlete w/great speed for LB.
I was initially upset w/this pick & the Henson pick considering the OL names available. But as I read about Glenn, I can see how he might be just as much a risk as Duke Robinson. Plus, a LB can play on teams immediately & O linemen can't do much in that area. |

Re: Meet Cody Glenn
Don't worry Mr. Ruhskins, I am not planning on quitting my job and becoming a scout or whatever it is you are inferring. Yep, I would have preferred us taking Duke Robinson (OG) instead of Henson (LB) and I do consider the 3rd, 4th and 5th round picks as part of the total grade. I might be wrong and totally offbase and I apologise, but there is no need to add in sniping or sarcastic remarks.
