Re: Redskins sign Veteran Punter Dirk Johnson

This move shows that we made punting priority number 10

Sorry Ruhskins. It does beat the Booger McFarland Thread:smashfrea IMO. And Im pissed we didnt pick up Hunter if we had the chance.

Also, If you read the posts on that thread you will notice most of them are ignorant due to the fact that they assume Johnson is much better when they obviously have not checked the stats. This thread gives the reader a clear comparison between Plack and Johnson. It amazes me how little credit most fans give to the punting position.

I'm gonna quote myself from the other thread:

Is this somehow and upgrade? In his 7 year career he's only averaged over 42yds/punt twice.

thank you tramplethe elderly. It's always good to notice a man who enjoys his chuck norris jokes. It is rumored that he masturbates using a monkey wrench and a blow torch.

This would make sense if Warner came with Johnson.

I guess they just want a little ore competition maybe?

I like the yearly punter competition; it gives us something to look forward to.

Why do we always have trouble finding good kickers?

Um, I'm no NFL scout but, I know a guy named Hunter Smith that is available for the right price. I think he's pretty good too. We should have just kept Plack if we were'nt going after someone better.

This is exactly why I started the Johnson vs Plack thread. It clearly showed the stats. And the fact that Johnson is actually a downgrade to Plack. But it got merged so its in here somewhere.

I know eventually I'll drop it, but do people realize that out of 53 punts last season Hunter Smith had 2 Touchbacks. And 43% inside the 20.

I guess we don't mind 1st and 10 at the 40 YL for the opposing teams on punts. Im optomistic but. We are still the same ol Skins in many ways.

By the way. Why can't we see who's on-line at the top of the page anymore?
