Um, anyone can keep us out of the end zone. Pierce gets beat routinely.

Lol... yea... the Bengals did a pretty good job too... don't even try to say they're good.

I think WE keep OURSELVES out of the endzone more than anyone else does.

Re: 2009 Pro Bowl

I think a good pass rush would have put 3 or 4 of our defensive backfield into the Pro Bowl. At least 2.

It's almost conspiratorial that Fletcher is held out of the Pro Bowl. IMO he deserved it more than anyone on the team, period. I hope he checks in at the Warpath every now and then so he can see how much we love and appreciate this guy.

Yeah. It'd be nice to find a way to show him how much we appreciate him. Maybe he realizes it by the fan vote. I hope so.

Re: 2009 Pro Bowl

I think its odd how 4 players from offense made it and zero from defense when its our D that is actually pretty decent

Cooley has been mediocre at best and had some crucial fumbles, Portis has run hard -- but I'd take Westbrook, Turner, and Peterson ahead of him. Samuels I think has been hurt most of the season, certainly wasn't a pro-bowl one.
Portis is third in the league in rushing. Westbrook is having the better month but injuries have severely limited his production this season. I don't know how anyone can argue with Clinton going.

Samuels is overrated for sure, but not anymore overrated than he has been the past gazillion years in a row he's gone. Plus, it's a down year for LT in the NFC so I can't freak out over that.

And Cooley, isn't there another thread bouncing around on here about a franchise TE receiving record or something? You would have to drop some pretty high profile fumbles for that to keep you out of the probowl.

I was really hoping that Suisham ended up sneaking through just so the the coach could be faced with the dilemma of having to decide whether or not to go for it on fourth and 7 at that 25 yard line.

My sentiments exactly. Or frame it another way. How does an offense with a Pro Bowl RB (he deserved it). Pro Bowl tight end and (he deserved it). Pro Bowl full back and (he deserved it). Pro Bowl tackle and (he deserves it every year that's how good he is). Yet our offense stalls. It is the scheme. It is the blocking schemes. It is this WCO philosophy with Joe Gibbs players. I believe you acquire the best players you can and then adjust your scheme. Come up with ideas that use the skills of your players to win games. All players are unique in ability. Grab a good player when you can because you can't predict the future. Players drafted for specific needs are not guaranteed to be good. Sucessful people take what they have to get what they want, a ring. Or like Republicans Neo Cons say "bloom where you're planted". I am sure Zorn can relate to my previous sentence.

Re: 2009 Pro Bowl

The Pro Bowl honors individuals, not teams. I know it's hard to believe but we do have some deserving guys from the offense. Not saying the D doesn't, but outside of Fletcher who really stands out??

Re: 2009 Pro Bowl

Fletcher and Horton should be alternates. They BOTH deserve to go, especially London.

Glad Sellers is a starter, he deserves it most years but never gets recognized.
