Ken Dorsey had amazing numbers in college, and many chances in the NFL, and didnt make a good NFL QB...

mark my word though, Dorsey will be a coach in the near future. Amazing leader. The only reason he even still carries a clip board is becuase hes basically his teams QB coach

I didn't think it would get 5 pages.

But hey, if we can draft Jordan Palmer in the late rounds why not? I didn't think there would be such a "hot and cold" reaction.

The guy is talented and may fall. I'll leave it to the scouts to decide the rest. He's not like a (insert an all american college standout who mainly ran here--can't think of any at the moment) who did well in college but couldn't hack it in the pros. His claim to fame in college was letting it fly.

When he shocks the football word by comming out of nowhere to lead his team to a SuperBowl. Other than that, yeah..... only in the offseason.

screw Colt Brennan... I'd rather take a risk on TCU d-end Tommy Blake... Would have been a sure first round pick untill his depression took ahold of him, but it seems he has that under control now and he could prove to be a steal

Damn, i was just taking a wild guess!! Colt is a skin now. I like the pick. Tons of upside and was a 6th rounder. If he doesn't work out, it didn't really cost us. You can afford to take a gamble w/ a late round pick.

Absolutely agree. He will be able to sit on the bench and learn, and I think it could be a GREAT pick if he doesn't play for at least a year. Let him carry the clipboard all season, and maybe part of 09 before you even allow him to touch a ball. The kid has talent. Mechanics need work, but he's very talented.

Woodson was the better prospect, but no player in this draft was more intriguing than Colt Brennan.

And I just don't see anyone having a possible bigger upside than Brennan. Great pick...I am putting in a request for his jersey ASAP!

Admittedly, I have not seen Brennan play (other than in highlights). So, I really don't have a basis to critique the pick. I have, however, seen interviews with Brennan and read a bit about him. Suffice it to say, I wasn't impressed with the guy. I also have a hard time getting crazy happy with a QB from Hawaii.

He's worth a flyer...but will never play in the NFL I think. I have been wrong before though. I believe I laughed with the Patriots picked Tom Brady in the 6th round some years ago..."what a waste" I think I said.
