Thinking about it I doubt that Favre returns. Honestly, his legacy is written.
But if it were true, of course his agent is going to publically deny the inquiries. If he admitted it, then he admits that any team he has spoken to was involved in tampering since Green Bay owns the rights to Favre and he does not have the teams permission to speak to other teams.

Agents cannot "inquire" on behalf of thier client without the teams permission.

I read yesterday that it is not required to submit retirement papers to the NFL.

I am by no means agreeing with the comment that you need a QB more than we do, however, I do recall you wanting Eli's head on a platter this year. Lol, while I agree with the human part, I doubt that the Green and gold faithful would let it slide. They'd eventually forgive him, but at first it would probably be ugly.
