Re: How about Bryant Johnson?
He had a good game against us but is he consistent? I think Hackett's been around for 3-4 years and hasn't really had a breakout year. I guess if he's a FA and isn't going to cost much then sign him. But if he's going to cost a lot of $ and or draft pick then I'd say we pass on him.

I just want a guy that isn't going to be pulling hamstrings/groins and has some type of history of production. Hackett had some big games last year. But can he stay healthy? And can he be consistent? I'm all for bringing him in here at the right price. But let's not OVERPAY for a guy that's only shown flashes. |

Re: How about Bryant Johnson?
Johnson would be good for our WR core. We need a tall wr. Should also take a look at Jerry Porter. Hear is a with a list of all the top Free agent wr's.
1. Randy Moss 2.Benard Berrian 3.D.J. Hackett 4.Bryant Johnson 5.Justin Gage 6.Greg Camarillo 7.Ernest Wilford 8.Jerry Porter 9.Devery Henderson |

Re: How about Bryant Johnson?
I understand your point, but let's be serious about this, the only player that Hackett played behind that could be compared to Boldin or Fitzgerald is Branch when he played in NE. None of those other WR's are close to the talent of Boldin or Fitzgerald, not even on there best day are they close...

Re: How about Bryant Johnson?
Bryant Johnson is a great #3 who makes lots of sick passes for a team that cannot seem to make the playoffs. Diamond in the rough, right? To me, he smells alot like Brandon Lloyd. Hackett is when healthy, consistent. And I dont care what anyone says, I will gladly sacrifice a little talent if it means our offense can get on track faster b/c he knows it better than all our other receivers.

Re: How about Bryant Johnson?
Yeah Bryant Johnson makes sense as long he wouldn't cost alot. But then again if it makes too much sense we'll never do it!

He's a risk, but this risk is also what will make his contract less. IMO we shouldn't be the high bidder for him, with Zorn here and Hackett's size compared to our receivers, he has great opportunity here and should settle for a bit less to come to DC. If not, move on to Bryant Johnson.
