I don't like making redundant posts, but just wanted to echo SSGs post. Your kind thoughts and words are sincerely appreciated in this difficult time. God Bless.

Play-offs, think about how his family is thinking. However, if there's a good reason for the Skins to win out, its for ST.

Granted, this definitely wasn't all Broncos fans. But you'd think they, of all fans, would be sensitive to this.
Unfortunately, most football fans outside of DC have an impression of Taylor perpetuated by the media rehashing his on and off-field transgressions from his first two years in the league. By all accounts of his teammates and coaches, Taylor has been a changed man since the arrival of his daughter prior to last season. Idiots like Colin Cowturd would never allow the public to see that side of Sean. I wish they could all see the interviews Kelli Johnson did with Taylor - they reveal a man who was making strides to be a good teammate on and off the field, and above all, a family man.

She did a great job as a journalist. Really impressive. I understand there was about 20 minutes of total tape and only a couple were shown.

Hope they dig it all out and just let it play.

If anyone gets to see those, I think you get to see the real Sean Taylor.

(When you hear Wilbon, etc, don't forget the Skins and the Washington Post have been in a pssing contest ever since the Skins took away a lot of their season tix (Since they were ending up on ebay! This colors everything I read about the skins written in the Post).

I think most Redskins fans would feel the same way about anyone else in this league. I recall feeling the same way about Ken Hamlin when he was a Seahawk. Thanks again for being so classy and kind.
I'll also note that I haven't seen one damn eagles fan on here showing support. But plenty of Cowboys fans.

That is a little unfair in a sense that not everyone has to come to this board to show there support. There are plenty of ways to show support. It is great that the Cowboy fans have and they should be thanked, but just because eagles fans are not on this board voicing there support does not mean they are not praying or doing whatever they feel is right. it is just a disgrace to for them to be commenting negatively on their boards.

I may bleed burgundy and Gold, but I gotta admit I shed a tear when Old Coach Landry passed away.

A true rivalry bred by respect.

Way to show class, Cowboy fans.

Deeply appreciated today.

Its not the Kelli Johnson interview, but here are a couple of items from the Redskins.com archive. I think they show a glimpse of a young, intelligent, and supremely talented individual. Wilbon, Cowherd, and all the rest aren't worth the newsprint or the airwaves that they use to spread their vindictive messages.

Sean Taylor: 5.4

S. Taylor: 5-15

Thanks for the link, SC Skins Fan.

What a different person than the one you read about in the media.

Thanks again.

It just a shame people write things so hurtful & hateful, hiding behind a darn computer. Sometimes it makes ya wonder what this world has really come to, sadly enough.

I read some of the posts in our local daily press news paper in response to this horrible tragedy. I was just shocked people would even write things so hurtfull about any other human being, not to mention a person you don't even know.

Unfortunately times like this confirm that most people are bastard covered bastarts with bastard filling.. Appreciate those who have enough class and sense to wish him well regardless of what they think of him personally or the team.. F--- the rest.

Re: Sean Taylor Shot in the Thigh (UPDATED 6:54 PM)

Very interesting. Life can remind us of our humanity in very odd ways occasionally. Many of us that follow the Redskins have spent much energy spewing hateful things to say about our rivals. I'm guilty of it. Some of our "hatred" is in good fun, some isn't. But at the end of the day, we are ALL just people and it is human nature, at least in this country, to care about each others well being. When the chips are down, we can usually count on a friend, a neighbor, even a rival, to come to our aide in times of trouble. I have been humbled by the show of gratitude from fans of the Cowboys, Steelers, Broncos, etc. You all rock and you must know that fans like yourselves would be most appreciated by athletes like Sean Taylor. Let's all here at the Warpath remind each other in the future when we're throwing barbs and truly hateful things to say at our "Football" enemies of the thoughtful, graceful, and considerate offers of condolences they gave us on this day.

Re: Sean Taylor Shot in the Thigh (UPDATED 6:54 PM)

It's just the state of mind the world is in nowadays. Honestly, I do understand how the uninformed could decide that Sean Taylor is a thug by past experiences. However, at least to what we know and what his teammates have said, Taylor seemed to be getting his life back on the right track. I believe his daughter is definitely one reason for that fact. If Sean Taylor had decided to go out to some nighclub and shoot up the place and to get shot himself, then I'd have a heard time holding sympathy for him. However, someone broke into his place with the intent to kill him and possibly his family. If Taylor makes it out of this relativitely healthy, then I really hope he moves somewhere safe. Maybe some small farm town where they still keep their doors unlocked at night.

Let's keep remembering him in prayer guys.
