What about signing Jerramy Stevens at TE?

This is by no means a replacement for Cooley who in my opinion must be resigned next year, just a way to acquire a TE that has some ability to backup - although the off the field issues are a problem. Isn't Stevens better than any of the current backup TE's on the roster?

I don't want him here. As I understand it, apart from his off the field problems, he's widely regarded as one of the most hated (if not the most hated) players in the NFL by his peers.

Pretty much everything that can be said about him has already been said. I wouldn't be suprised if not a single team signed him.

Re: What about signing Jerramy Stevens at TE?

As Warren Sapp so eloquently put it, "Jerramy is a punk ass bitch. Anything bad that happens to him he asked for."

Aside from the fact he couldn't catch a cold, aside from his recently having been busted DUI with a .204 BA and a bag of weed, he's a dirty player. I saw him during a playoff game in 05 on the ground after a play with a man's arm in a lock trying his absolute best to break the guy's upper arm, laughing the whole while. He stopped only when it became obvious that the play was over, and he had to get up or be late back to the huddle.

Off to Arena ball with him.
