Re: BREAKING NEWS: Bill Parcells Retires

A couple of early names being tossed around as Parcells' successor; Norv Turner and Wade Phillips.

LOL

My vote is for Wade Phillips. I wish him the same amount of success with the 'Boys as he had with the Giants.

If what you said is true, I hope he does to Dallas! :cheeky-sm

Well, the best of the weak field of coaches looking for jobs this offseason are already hired...except Jim Mora.

Maybe they should interview James Lofton.

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Bill Parcells Retires

Dennis Green isn't a terrible choice, actually. He's not a bad coach. Also, he's handled ego-centric WR's before fairly effectively.

Bye bye Manboobs. Cowboys fans probably can't chew gum and breathe right now. I hope that they sign Norv...

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Bill Parcells Retires

Its a sad day in the traveled story of the NFC East. So many great games against the Giants back in the day. I'm glad he's gone from the Cowboys, but as a coach he was good. He made New England, not Belichick.

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Bill Parcells Retires

when I heard norv was a candidate, I couldn't believe it. But then I thought about it, JJ might've really liked him when he was there. You would think that the word on norv is good o-coordinator but not head coach.
Norv has worked for the other 2 most meddlesome owners - The Danny & Al Davis. Working for Jones would give him the trifecta!
It would also make for good theater, which JJ seems to thrive on. I would be happy if Norv coached there, but I don't want to jinx us - it may be that the 3rd time's a charm. (norv's only had 2 heach coach jobs right?)
