F...Unqualified Job Candidates
I have been interviewing candidates the last six weeks for positions we have open. Most candidates sucked but the guy I interviewed today's definitely sucked the most. He tried to bullshit his way through the interview and taking his sweet time with answer to the point where we ran out of time. He only managed to get through 3 questions out of 6. If you don't know the basics you shouldn't be applying for senior position! No one is going to hold your hands god damn it!

I love unqualified job candidates as they tend to make me look better than I really am.

Re: F...Unqualified Job Candidates
Yeah, I just got coaxed back to my old job with a small raise and a few more freedoms... but during the entire negotiation/interview they kept telling me how they expected my production to increase since the incentives were increasing....
I finally told the GM... "Listen man, you called me to come back... don't start raising an eyebrow. I worked here for years before and you know what I bring to the table. If you don't think I'm worth it we can stop wasting our time right now, but I work in performance based pay-scale, so I don't get paid if you dont get paid... so are you seriously trying to motivate me beyond the dollars with this little pep-talk?" He laughed and told me I hadn't changed much, and that was a good thing... The relevance here is that I can't stand interviewers who have a scripted bunch of questions that they ask everyone and go over the same speech no matter what the hell the situation and relevance is...

I had a phone interview with Google the other day, not about a job just about google adsense and their other services and they wanted to know more about this site. They asked me if I could quit my day job and work on the site full time if I would do that, I was like hell yeah are you kidding me?! |
