(AMD, How was Medieval Times?)

I'm gonna throw my hat towards this one. While last year's comeback was bittersweet, this one has more significance, more of a momentum turnaround...

Medieval Times was as ridiculous as I had hoped. I got really drunk and quoted the Cable Guy like it was my job (I am such a dork). So that night, plus the Maryland win (that was a safety damnit), and the Skins yesterday, so niiiiiiiiiiiice. I just wish I had seen Borat to really complete it all.

If Santana had made the second TD last year as time expired I would say that was better, but the fact that the game ended in such a weird way yesterday means it was the better of the two, IMO.

this one was better because we will never ever see this again (watch it happen next sunday). where as scoring 2 td in 4mins is still amazing and unbeliveable, but missing a kick , blocking a kick, making a kick is so much sweeter.

I was talking to my friend as we walked down the FedEx ramps with our heads held high and we were saying how rare it is to see a safety in the NFL, how rare it is to see a blocked (game winning) FG in the NFL, and how rare it is to see a game actually get extended by one play because of a penalty which then allows a team to win in regulation in the NFL; now, put all those together and you get a game the likes of which you will never see again.
Awesome.

This win is just as sweet as Brunell to Moss in Sept 05. The ending was more improbable than last year. This is payback for Testaverde to Crayton in '04, and Aikman to Irvin to come back from 35-14 down and win in OT.

For me, being at the game yesterday made this one sweeter. I've never seen a crazier finish with opposing teams each having a game winning FG on consecutive plays.

I think this one was a lot better! What is the probability of a blocked game winning FG? Then to get the extra 15 yds. because of a face-mask penalty. It's about time the "rules" worked in our favor!

Re: Which One is Better: Blocked FG or Moss 2 TD Game?

Its hard to say, I mean this one is so fresh in my mind....but I remember vividly my reactions to both games.....and this one was the craziest I've ever gone, I was litterally near tears after the game jumping up and down like Joe Carter going down the first baseline after hitting hte walkoff in game 6 to win the world series.

I think this is the greatest win I've ever seen, but man oh man. Crazy!

Re: Which One is Better: Blocked FG or Moss 2 TD Game?

I was at the game too, AMD. I have never felt such crazy awesome energy in my life. Still buzzing.

I am not going to choose: they were both perfect in their own way. Last year's was in Dallas, and picture-perfect in terms of football execution (at least on the TDs), and it was on MNF during the roids anal ring of horror celebration, etc.

But I agree that this had to be the wierdest, most improbable series of football circumstances I have ever seen. The block. The amazing reverse field run-back. The 15 yard face mask to both move the ball into FG range AND to give us one more play with 0:00 on the clock. And then the crazy hook shot wind aided knuckle duck by local kid Nick the Kick the day after a big UMD win on a last second FG. And against Dallas, when our season looked to be over. Wow. Once in a lifetime. The lifetime of the Universe, that is....

Re: Which One is Better: Blocked FG or Moss 2 TD Game?

I'm going with last year's. It was just such a milestone for this generation of Skins. Just look at the raw emotion of Joe Gibbs last year versus this year and I think that describes the difference. This was a crazy win, no doubt, but I will never in my life forget last year's amazing Monday night game. It's just the type of game you remember where you were when...... Yesterday's? I'm sure I'll remember it for a very long time, but I don't think the emotion was as strong yesterday as last year. Just my opinion.

Not even close for me. 2005, in Dallas is the greatest win ever.

I still watch that game and laugh my ass off every time I see the fan with the look of disbelief on her face.

We were in their house, the commentator had just given the 'Parcells is 73-0 when leading by 13 or more in the 4th Qtr' and all was lost.

Then the long bomb...That's an unbelieveable win.

anyredskins victory over dall-ass is good, especially when T.O. drops 3 passes,
but i'll take yesterday's win over the 2 td night anytime!i feel kind of odd cause i hate the cowboy organization, but i like bill parcells.

Re: Which One is Better: Blocked FG or Moss 2 TD Game?

Last year we went into Dallas' own house, during their Ring of Honor ceremony night, and broke a losing streak to them by humiliating them in the last few minutes of the game. That's pretty hard to beat in my book.

Add to that the 36-7 or whatever the score was for the second game, and last year felt like pretty much the greatest year against Dallas I can ever remember.
