Re: Playoffs: Yes or No?
...And we lost to them last year.
Assuming we don't lose to Texas, things could start coming together for us. It gives us more time for CP and Springs to get healthy. I think the offense will start to gel around week 7. (This is what a number of people said before all the hysteria.) Remember, Saunders uses a lot of timing routes, and they take some time to work out. But it's so bad right now, the defenders are in the middle of all our screens. Once Springs gets back, we should be able to hold on a lot more 3rd downs. That means we won't always have to go a long way to get points. In addition, Saunders will have a better idea of what does and doesn't work with this team. (I also want to say thanks to the Cowboys fans for their posts. They seem to be more (cautiously) optimistic for our team than some of the Redskins fans!) |

Re: Playoffs: Yes or No?
If you ask me lets start with a win first before we start talking playoffs. The word playoffs and redskins should not be in the same sentence based on what i have seen thus far this season. Lets just get a win.

I don't feel very optimistic about the Redskins future this season, but one doesn't have to go far to realize the ability of Joe Gibbs to turn things around. In 2005 our start was similar, with the exeption being Dallas learned their lesson and not letting us go deep (although I thought we were going to pull one off again in... but it never happened). As far as playoffs go, I'm in no mood to project any playoff aspirations as of yet, and I don't think anyone who does is sane. We have no offense, and our defense is swiss cheese. Theres no doubt we will in improve IMO, but I'll talk about playoffs after we get about .500

Re: Playoffs: Yes or No?
I don't believe they make it to playoff. Have feeling Brunell get hurt and Collins fill in badly for him. Campbell on bench too long if Gibbs behave like before. And if Brunnell not hurt, how much longer he last at his age and pounding he take. Mr. Al Saunders was a bad hire and knock them out of their successful winning rythm from last year.

That's about 1 in every 7. I like our chances then with our coaching staff and players...providing we get it "together" as Gibbs says.
