Re: Best 80's ACTION movie

Um, the Running Man pwns all of them.

Dynamo? Fireball? Sub-Zero? Buzzsaw? All pwned by Ben Richards.

Favorite Quote:
- "What happened to Buzzsaw?"

- "He had to split."

And then:
- "Killian! Here is your Sub-Zero! Now... Plain zero!"

Classic Ahnold kill lines are what make any 80s action movie great.

Die Hard is a movie I can still watch today and enjoy. Same for the Predator.

The originals of course.

How about the Boz in Stone Cold??

Man, what a cheesey action flick that was. I've gotta admit I enjoyed it back in the day though.

off topic, but it looks like you only have 100 post to go until you hit 2,000. Have you thought about your dedication yet?

Re: Best 80's ACTION movie

Does anyone else agree with me that Big Trouble in Little China needs to be re-leased (but not remade) in theaters just so a new generation of fans can learn of it's glory?

Re: Best 80's ACTION movie

I'll throw in a few more: Platoon, Batman, Robocop, Missing in Action, The Delta Force, Lethal Weapon I & II, A View to a Kill (I mean, Christopher Walken is the bad guy...)

I wish the combat in platoon didn't feel like eight year olds playing with cap guns would have made it much better.

I wouldn't consider that an action movie per se. I think there can be a difference between a war movie and an action movie sometimes. Plus, any movie that wins Best Picture that year obviously had too much going for it to be a cheesy action movie.

Re: Best 80's ACTION movie

Two classics that weren't mentioned yet were "Red Dawn" and I think the other title is "Clash of the Titans". You know, the one with Medusa and the mechanical owl.

Re: Best 80's ACTION movie

Robocop was a kickass movie, and I also concur with Die hard, and I add the Lethal Weapon series, and Finally Tango and Cash
