No question ... it's the O-line. That Guy is exactly right, so I'll repeat what he said:

We saw what happened when Randy Thomas was lost for the season thanks to Ladell Betts. If Samuels, Jansen, or Thomas go down, our season is most likely over.

Knowing this, will there be an offensive lineman worth taking at #53?

TAFKAS - if punting is our biggest problem, then that is the best news I've heard all day! That's like saying the biggest flaw of the Detroit Pistons is that their towel boy is on his ass!

Casey Rabach: recovering from shoulder surgery and a deep gashed from ATV accident. He may not be ready by training camp. This could be spell out bad for us. I know we drafted two interior O-line men.
Jansen still has sore thumb.
Samuel had something done to his knee.

That's 4 out of 5 O line men coming off of last years injuries.... We need depth on O line
Did you mean to say that Jansen still has two sore thumbs. Remember he broke both last year and was wearing two thumb cast at the same time. What a fluke that was.

i normally would hop on the o line bandwagon but...if brunell would go down, then what?collins is average at best and campbell is untested so life as a redskin fan would become very interesting.not that redskin fans want anything to do with a qback conterversey

I've said it over and over, the best thing Redskin fans could hope for is that Jason Campbell wins the job hands down in preseason, thoroughly beating Mark Brunell and gives the coaches absolutely no doubt that he's the best man for the job. If this happens, we're in a nearly perfect situation because I think Brunell would be an ideal backup.

One concern at a time:

The Skins One Concern: Being on the Clock at #53!

Next up: #153

and so on, and so on.

Until 8 May.

Then it's Court TV! Or in this case, i-net reports by the dozens from Miami-Dade.

davin joseph (pretty polished right now) or charles spencer (huge upside, massive guy, but also very athletic) should be available, and both can be the pulling type of guard that dockery isn't. No tackles worth thinking about will be left at that point, and out of the top 4 OGs, only 2 are athletic pulling types, and after those 4 a drop off in talent begins.

I'm worried about the Punting/Kicking game. If you can't pin your opponent or score field goals you've already lost 1/3 of the battle.

That is what I am talking about. Our punting game is worse than the numbers say. If Frost is punting from around mid field he's OK. if he punts from inside our 35, he is one of the worst I have seen (except Joey T and his 1 yarder, but that doesn't count, right?) Hey, Dallas lost 3 or 4 games last year because of missed kicks. They just got the most accurate kicker in NFL history, so that is a game or three automatically. Kicking games, as we all know, lose games. remember 2000.

defensively, besides the starter's hole at ROLB, the depth is pretty good.
Gahh! Get out of my brain!!!

Kidding, but I was seriously about to write that pretty much word for word. *Motion seconded*

This is a area that also in a big concern! We have little depth here! Over a season in the NFL you need to have a few guys step in durning a game or over a fews for a starter. Look what happen when we lost Jansen for a season or Thomas just for a few games! Teams run on thier O line!!! Then you throw in a older QB you need to keep him up right and not taking to many hits! My hope is we can find some help in the lower part of the draft! That maybe a false hope!

Re: The Skins One Concern

Wow everyone agrees ! Funny how everyone wants a LB or CB at 53 . Good news is , we did sign two backup lineman who have experience and Bugel has a great track record of developing young late round picks , Jacoby ; f/a ; Bostic ; f/a ; McKenzie ; 7th rd ; Simmons ; 6th and Stinky < Schereth ; 10th rd . Maybe we should trade our 07 2nd rd pick for a 3rd rd pick this year and grab a big nasty OL man , that way we can use 53 to grab a LB or a Pass rushing DL ?

He'll start Campbell if Campbell hands down plays better than Brunell. That will have to involve Brunell making huge mistakes, just playing horribly, you know, in his 2004 form. All of this might be unlikely, but that's what will have to happen.

Remember, I'm hoping for Campbell to win the job ... it's not necessarily what I think WILL happen.
