Re: If You Were Patrick Ramsey's Agent...
This thread is kind of ridiculous. We all know the Skins are looking to just get as much as they can for him. I don't care where Ramsey's agent wants him to go.

Re: If You Were Patrick Ramsey's Agent...
At the moment, Miami looks like the best target for a trade, but if he's released, more options open up for Ramsey, in my opinion.
Despite what Mike Martz says about Harrington, a confident Patrick Ramsey should have no fear of competing for the Detroit job. They have the scheme and the receivers but need to upgrade the OL. Scott Linehan of the Rams is said to prefer strong-armed QBs... not just to stretch the field but to get the ball to receivers in a hurry. Bulger's arm strength is average. Isaac Bruce is on the downside, though. I don't think Ramsey should fear competition with older QB names who are marginal performers. Bledsoe at 35 is coming off a poor year at Dallas. They aren't loaded with weapons on the offense, though. Kurt Warner at 35 was only serviceable at Arizona with all their weapons. They have the cap room to carry two decent QBs. Culpepper and the Vikes might be parting ways. That isn't a bad team offensively. In Ramsey's shoes, I wouldn't fear a competition with Chris Simms at Tampa Bay. A one-year deal could set him up with a good situation there. |

Re: If You Were Patrick Ramsey's Agent...
a one year deal is worst case for ramsey.right now people already have opinions on his ability,so way signing a one year contract.im with thatguy on contacting every team in the league to try and create best case scenario for ramsey

If the CBA does get extended, then we'd probably hold onto him until draft day and take the trade from the highest bidder. Which team that is makes ZERO difference to me.

Re: If You Were Patrick Ramsey's Agent...
right now general managers have a pre formed idea about ramseys talent.if their ideas are good about his abilty, more money and bargaining power to ramsey.if they like him,and he signs a one year contract and goes somewhere and really stinks it up,then whats he worth?

If I were Ramsey's agent ... I'd tell him to take a pay cut so he can remain with the Redskins and Ramseyfan wouldn't have to change his screen name.

If he goes into a situation where he ought to succeed but doesn't, his stock goes down whether it's a one-year deal or not. If he doesn't have confidence in himself, then he'll take the best long-term contract he's offered regardless of the current situation with a team's supporting cast. I doubt that will happen. |
