Re: mock draft

man, i'd be pissed if we took him. he's 4th round talent stretched to a 2nd round pick (too slow, only 1 good season, had a total beast 2007 1st round pick WR across from him and 2007 top 15 pick QB throwing to him).

Do you really like the long-haired white guy that much? What's his speed like?

Re: mock draft

I actually was talking to a Notre Dame student a couple of day's ago and asked him about Stovall, his reply was, he's dumb as a stump.

Re: mock draft

He pushes off constantly. I would rather see us look at Brandon Marshall from UCF in the 4th or 5th

he's taller and faster (and smarter)... if you watched a lot of ND games, it was pretty obvious who the better guy was. He's also going to have another full year starting after setting some ND WR records last year.

Looks like a slower version of Rod Gardner.

Re: mock draft

I still like the idea of going after TEs Byrd, Lewis, or Pope (whoever is still on the board when we pick).

I still like the guy a lot. His stock dropped a lot after the combine. Before the combine, Lewis was projected to be a mid-late first rounder. Now, he's projected by many to be a mid-second rounder. He's a great receiver and I think Buges and others could work on his blocking technique. Plus, I love it when players' stock drop just because they ran a slow 40 at the combine (see Anquan Boldin).

If Lewis is around by the time we pick, we'd be nuts not to get him (unless someone like Moss drops out of the sky and falls to us).

if pope doesn't fall, it'd be better to get a DT or OG or CB with the 2nd and TE with the 3rd.
