Re: Really possible for Reggie Wayne and Steven Davis
i dont see us getting wayne, but i think our boys just north will (eagles) they have the cap room and need a reciever. I think either Koren Robinson or Brandon Lloyd would be a nice aquisition. Plus drafting one in 3 rd or 4th round.

Re: Really possible for Reggie Wayne and Steven Davis
Anybody think about adding David Givens? He's kind of a tweener at receiver he's pretty fast, but kinda physical as well. I've always like the New England receivers. I think if you put him, Moss, and Patten on the field they could really turn into a NE type receiving corps.
One thing that I have to point out for people who say we should pick up TO is that there is no way Mark Brunell could keep TO and Santana Moss happy. I don't know of a whole lot of QB's who could. You don't go out and grab two #1 receivers unless you have a QB who can absolutely spread the ball around and get the job done. Would Brunell improve if we had TO? Maybe, but I doubt that TO would get enough balls to be happy if he were playing alongside someone Brunell already knew and trusted. One thing to consider about Wayne, I'm not sure if it's been mentioned, is that he and Santana were college teammates at the U. Maybe he would like to reunite with Mr. Moss and become a dynamic duo again. I don't know, I don't think that would happen, but they all seem to have a certain bond that's stronger than other colleges. They seem to stick together and claim their school as much as possible. |

Re: Really possible for Reggie Wayne and Steven Davis
What about Nate Burleson? I've seen him play a few times and looks like a solid #2, in fact he was the #2 to Randy Moss year before last. As far as Stephen Davis is concerned I think his best years are behind him. All the injuries are working against him at this point in his career.

Re: Really possible for Reggie Wayne and Steven Davis
I would like to see Burleson as our #2 but I dont think that the Vikes will let him go and he is a RFA which means that if we do get him we have to give a draft pick to the vikes, unless he was undrafted...

Re: Really possible for Reggie Wayne and Steven Davis
Moss out of the "U" would be key in the 3rd round

Re: Really possible for Reggie Wayne and Steven Davis
K robinson (pro bowl returner this year, FAST - he could fix two problems), he said he wanted to be here, i'm sold... just have a backup plan (alcohol and all). Reche Caldwell should be really cheap, and S Moss in the 3rd if he's there. That's 3 legit deep threats and good depth in case of injury. It'd also allow Moss Jr time to adjust to the nfl if he needs it.

Re: Really possible for Reggie Wayne and Steven Davis
what is wrong with drafting a player. we have a 2nd , 3rd 4th 5th 2 6 rounders, we actually have some picks. They may be able to put some picks together to move up to another 3rd, or get a 3rd or 4th for Ramsey. We have picks that could, if researched and chosen carefully, could end up as quality players. Let forget about a FA wide receiver and all that crap. IF you want to get a FA, go after TE depth or another corner. we need to draft our key positions this year. We could get a good receiver in the draft, plus we still have patten, who although this year stunk, historically has been a pretty damn good WR.
