Oh! I almost forgot.... Riverboat Ron decided to punt when we were on the Giants' 34.

Had Mike Florio questioning whether or not this guy is the Tim Donaghy of the NFL. Says there will be a 30/30 on the betting and fixing in the nfl one day. These guys don’t make enough money to look away from a fat paycheck from some wise guy. |

After he got stuffed twice already. It is mind numbing that with BR and Gibson we ran a wr into the teeth of their defense. Turner wouldn’t be in this league but for his last name. |

Re: Offense Sucks/Turner Sucks/Refs Suck Post-Game Thread
I don't think anyone is. All of the problems we have now are the same as those we had in the offseason. Thats down to Ron. We saw enough of Heinicke last year to know who he is, I don't consider him to even be much of a backup option. Given his history, Wentz was bound to miss a few games through injury, so we were going to need a competent backup, Heinicke isn't that. The lack of depth at CB and LB, Bostic in particular, have been obvious to anyone with eyes who is not in denial. Imagine where we would be if Davis hadn't improved. The OL was sacrificed to get Wentz, but the other QBs they were after would have cost twice as much, so acting like the cap crunch was an unexpected event is just stupidity or lack of planning As for Scott Turner, Ron hired him over arguably a better candidate because of loyalty. He helped Ron get fired in Carolina but Rons mindset is he would rather be comfortable with his staff than being critical of their performance. He even gave Turner a contract extension in the off season, Ron most owe Norv big time. Why is it they need to magically re "discover" the concept of running the ball a couple of times each year, but only after we have lost a bunch of winnable games It is all down to Ron |

That’s probably the best shot I’ve seen of the missed PI. Wtf, the guy literally on his back

Slye has a perfect last name. He is shifty, he has made some big kicks, but I still don't trust him. Him kicking a FG is almost as nerve wracking as Heinicke throwing the ball more than 10 yards.

Even before the ball got anywhere near Samuel he was grabbing him. That was illegal contact before it was even pass interference. He commited 2 penalties. WE GOT FUCKED.

Re: Offense Sucks/Turner Sucks/Refs Suck Post-Game Thread
Sure were, but doesn't alter the fact that it is 2022 and average NFL offences score 30 on teams like the Giants so they are not dependent on officials calling the game correctly (or honestly) at the end. We are reliant on favourable refereeing decisions to win, and you know that is no way to win

JP Finlay on Twitter Brian Robinson got 4 carries in the second half of that game. Antonio Gibson had 1 second half carry. |

Re: Offense Sucks/Turner Sucks/Refs Suck Post-Game Thread
Hats of to Daboll. Looking at the situation, up 7-3 headed into two minute drill and getting the ball back to start the third. The safe play is punt knowing you are likely keeping the lead. The Giants have played pretty conservatively all season. You were going to have to beat them they weren't going to beat themselves. The way I see it a high risk move like 4th and 9 at the 35 couldn't have been that risky, they saw something they knew they could exploit.
