Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
WC didn't fan on Wilson & Rogers, WC was never in the batters box to begin with. For an organization as poorly regarded as WC, getting Wentz is as close to a home run as they can get.

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
If he becomes a free agent you can't guarantee he would come here, plus you have to offer him a new contract.

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
Really, you'd give them two or three years of guaranteed money? Also compete with other teams and overpay for them?

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
Means nothing. Two teams who don't have good QB options said no thanks. Two teams that see him every single day. That's way more important and really tells the real story over his stats. His stats have no substance what so ever.

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
I am not in love with this move, but he is (nearly every QB would be) the best QB we've had since Kurt Cousins.
He's had success. Not a great completion %, but good QBR. Doesn't throw a lot of INTs compared to TDs. He's had a couple injuries - but I think he's only missed 8 games due to injury in 6 years. That's not bad. He was benched for Jalen Hurts in 2020, but that was a B A D team, and they had to see what Jalen Hurts could do. Looked good last year, but tailed off at the end apparently. Ok. Welp, I'm not going to cry and whine about it. At least they are trying to do something. Whether it's Wentz, Winston, Trubisky...neither blows me away, but neither one of they was going to make everyone happy. Looks to be a fair deal - I'm curious to see if he and ST can take this team to the next level. |

Is Wentz any better than Mitch? No. And like I mentioned, a 3rd round pick is our best player and you just gave two years of those away for a guy who isn't wanted. Our front office sucks. |

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
Put up Wentz vs Dak and you’d be surprised.

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
Just because there was a possibility of him being released, doesn't mean that there wasn't competition for his services.

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
What a stupid fucking trade!! Gave way too much for a washed up QB, Jimmy G. Would have been better

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
So what. Why are they so hell bent on getting him in the first place? Go get Mitch or Mariota. It's not like Wentz is any better than those guys. You'd land one and keep your draft picks.

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
Jordan Love would be better than this guy, who ruined the colts chances in the last 3 games. He sucked horribly!!
