For sure, now if Trent comes back I'm all for it

I don't care what they do, take BPA or trade down. How often does the entire top 5 selections in the draft turn out to be worthy of their draft spot?

You HAVE to take a LT if a high graded LT is there in the board when we pick. Silverback is not coming back. If we don’t win in the trenches, we won’t win anywhere. Look at what Dallas did a few years ago. Invested a TON into the o-line and their offense was firing on all cylinders. A good o-line makes your QB and position players better. Must be a priority.

I dont even think we would need BA to do that.

Player A makes 3.8M over 4 years with 1M guaranteed, Player B makes 33M over 4 yrs with 21M guaranteed.

Player A outperforms or is equal to Player B.

Player A may hold out after 2 years. Team tells player A we will not talk money while youre on a rookie contract.

Drama ensues.

You take Thomas or Young. Then you’ve probably got a pro bowler for 10 years in a critical position.

The other issue is Trent Williams. If BA is fired and the team hires and OUTSIDE the organization, such an the Chiefs OC, Bienieny AND he gets a new contract with guaranteed money, would he play next year? This is ANOTHER reason to fire BA.

I could see us trading down IF Thomas or Young is gone. That gives us the ability to draft two OL talents. I believe in the drafting talent of Kyle Smith. If he is truly given free rein, he has a super record over the last two years!

If I didn't know any better I'd swear there's so many good reasons to fire Bruce Allen.

Organizational ineptitude

100 losses over 10 years

Possibly getting your star player to rejoin the team (delaying his replacement for at least a year)

Qualified HC/FO candidates might actually want to come here

FA's from other teams might be more interested in coming here

Might be able to finally crawl out of the dumpster

Unless we are in a position to draft young, I say trade down. Some team will trade up for Tua.

Agreed! Excellent synopsis of the Bruce Allen amateur decade. He is EASILY the worst GM in the NFL. There are so many reasons to fire him. I think the real reason this will happen soon is because of the #FireBruceAllen movement, the poor record “on the field” AND because Dan Snyder has cultivated new advisors: Alex Smith and Urban Meyer.

Good riddance! I can’t wait until we no longer have to talk about this azz monkey.

What is the tiebreaker for teams with the same record? . . .right now it looks like the 2nd or 3rd pick. . . Young or Thomas?

I know we need a LT, you just can’t pass on a pass rusher like Young. I’ll take my chances with Young, then draft a LT, TE, FS in that order. We can get a pick for TW, I would trade Kerrigan and also get a pick.

I would trade back if we got a great haul of picks. We need way more help than just a pass rusher. If we stay in the top ten, we will still be able to get a starting LT and have more picks to use on a TE, S, CB etc.

You can get picks from trading TW, Kerrigan.

If they get them traded before the draft then we'll have and idea of who they can get with those picks. Maybe a second for TW? RK maybe a fourth?
If we don't get at least a two for TW I would trade back.

I really don't think extra picks mean a damn thing if you don't know how to draft the right players and put them in positions to be successful. We have so many drafted players here that are either not any good or underperforming.
