A quarterback that cannot run the system can single handedly demoralize a team. I am so glad we've got 2 that can run the system.

These guys looked fatigued.
Nothing in the tank or no heart.

The fumble returned for 70 yards right after you got good field position was a killer.

But overall I like the effort... aside from lineS play.

I think we played 1 depth level lower for most of the game. I think the team played with heart for a preseason game and got alot of good looks for film and practice. Dont really care that we lost, i would rather see what players do against the same or better competition.

100% agree! I was talking about the fumble returned.

Re: Redskins vs Patriots

Players who stood out in PS Game 1:

Derrius Guice - The Real Deal. Easily our #1 RB. Let's hope he's OK.
Montae Nicholson - Has everything you want at safety. He'll be a star this season.
Robert Davis - Was a big athlete last season. Now he's a football player. Keeper.
Martrell Spaight - He looked great last night. Seemed to say "You can't cut me".
Maurice Harris - He's a lock. Book it.
Kenny Ladler - He's a pro. Excellent tackler. Forced a fumble.
Troy Apke - Great closing speed. Made a nice goal line play. Plays teams. Developmental.
Danny Johnson - Has everything but size. Played his heart out last night.
Tim Settle - Played a lot of snaps and held up. Excellent potential.

p.s. - I hate to say it but our backup O-linemen are terrible. Let's hope our scouts are busy and can find us somebody who can play via trade or whatever.

Don't forget about Stroman, IMO he stood out, excellent coverage against the Pats 1st, good returns, good kickoff coverage.

Zach Vigil also had a really good game.

Big disappointment: Geron Christian and... Tim Settle. We disagree here, he was pushed back on almost every play, doesn't move his feet enough. It was a little better in the second half, he managed to make 2 tackles for little to no gain but he was going underneath his opponent, never saw him drive an opponent back like you hope a NT would.

Re: Redskins vs Patriots

Man I’m just hoping Matt I and Guice are ok...

agree with KI post...I thought Settle played just fine. Guice looked better than I expected for a rookie...

Danny Johnson, Robert Davis and Mo Harris really stood out
