Jay has said in the past he loses sleep over the center position. I really like a pick like Price as a hedge against injury at the center position. If they do take an O lineman early, I'm betting it is a player who can play multiple positions. I really want a front seven D player in the top rounds though and love the Hurst pick, if he is still there. All that being said, I believe a talented dual threat running back would have the single biggest impact on the team from a win/loss point of view. Portis was on Cooley the other day, he apparently evaluates the RB position for the team (who knows how much weight is given to his opinion). He said Guice was the only other RB with a 1st round grade besides Barkley. Rambling a little I know. I CANT WAIT FOR THE DRAFT!!!!

Adrian Peterson was my favorite player in the NFL for a long time; I say that because i'm a guy that likes and believes in the RB position. I like this group of RBs. But I know I'm a broken record on this and really actually try not to bring it up myself. Imho I don't see the point in drafting a RB high because I believe that Jay runs a system that doesn't feature the RB in a way that schematically maximizes their ability. I think the biggest improvement in the run game will come from the 1) overall improvement of the LG and Center positions 2) health of the OL + RBs 3) improvement of the depth of the OL + RB 4) better weapons on the outside Just 2 years ago Football Outsiders rated the run offense as #4 and that was with Fat Rob and Matt Jones. Imo the difference was the OL stayed healthy, Kelly stayed healthy AND there were legit threats at the outside WR spots. |

We need an explosive dual threat back, he would be a game changer for our offense. I know CTs injury was a fluke but he has always been injured so we need to have a plan A and use CT as plan B (3rd Down back). I also don't like limiting plays for fragile guys (Reed and CT), if they aren't built for this league, get them the F out. |

Re: 2018 Mock Drafts
13. Trade with Detroit (20) They take Derwin James FSU. We get their 2nd round pick 51.
20. Maurice Hurst DT Michigan - IMO the best DL in this draft, he would be a top 10 pick if it wasn't for his heart scare. 44. Sony Michel RB - UGA 51. (From Det) - Will Hernandez OG - UTEP 109. Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, EDGE- Oklahoma 142. Antonio Callaway, WR, Florida 163. Tyler Conklin, TE, Central Michigan

I'm gonna let you slide this time on picking yet another OU player because Okoronkwo can play and we sure could use a good pass rusher. |

Re: 2018 Mock Drafts
I'm actually not that high on him but in the later rounds yes it's worth the look. I really want to trade down and add another 2nd, it would be huge. Hope it happens

Re: 2018 Mock Drafts
Just asking for a friend, what was RG3's completion percentage in 2012?

Re: 2018 Mock Drafts
We need players that help us run the ball and stop the run...unless they are simply extremely talented, too good to pass up (ie Minkah, Derwin, maybe even CB Ward OSU).
Lamar doesn't fall into that category IMO. He is gonna need time to develop and is a reach at 13. |

Re: 2018 Mock Drafts
Jackson’s build is similar to RG3... hopefully he’ll be smarter about protecting himself

Re: 2018 Mock Drafts
This team drafting a QB at 13 would be the worst move it could make, Alex is our guy for 3-4 years.
