Don't get too down. The season isn't even half through!
I've been reading some articles across the internet and I am feeling a downed vibe that is running through the forum. I think some people might feel like we aren't the team that we felt we were, but let's go back and look at some things before coming to that conclusion.
We lost two games in row before this to teams that we OUTPLAYED! We should have beaten Denver and we should have beaten Kansas City. Denver has been highly acclaimed by the press, they even beat the press fav's (the Eagles), yet for almost 60 minutes of football we thrashed them. Yes, the Giants game was a travesty, and yes I feel like we lost to an inferior team, but that was a game the Giants had to win. Maybe it was Mara's ghost, i don't know, but I know that everything went the Giant's way and nothing went the Skin's way. This game was the exception to what has become a rule this season. The rule being that we always beat the other team statistically. Either way, I think that there is a sour taste in a lot of people's mouths. Yes, the Skins have to wake up, but I guess what makes me happy is that they've shown me everything this season to show me they will. We've got a week of sourness ahead, but hopefully that will only make the rest of the season's success that much sweeter. SKINS 2005!!!

Re: Don't get too down. The season isn't even half through!
I didn't get to see or hear the game since I was driving home from Tennesee, but I must say that a score of 36-0 still leaves me in disbelief. Not entirely sure what happened, but I'm inclined to think that Gibbs will turn around the offense. However, I'm still worried about the defense. I know Williams did great things with them last year and early this season, but they have worried me since the second half of the Seahawks game. Even their performance against SF, although solid, wasn't incredible. They shouldn't have given up that 72 yard touchdown run near the end of that game. Guess it kind of set the tone for Tiki Barber trampling all over us. Like I said, I'm not worried about the offense; this kind of thing has happened to Gibbs teams before (17-0 loss to the Giants in 1986 championship) and they bounced back. But the defense needs someone to light a fire under their asses or else we're in for a long season.

I think I read a ton of "disapointment" and "frustration" posts but for the most part much of it is correct. Taking a healthy look at yourself sometimes it's needed to let the frustration flow. It's natural.
I'm a fan. I never get mad. To get mad I say you have to be the owner losing money and then you have the right to be mad. We as fans should get disappointed when our team, lets us all down like this weak[s] Skins have done. I LOVE the team but if I saw them in person this week I would let them know I think they stunk up the place and I expect far more out of them if they want to be a part of a proud Redskins tradition. ok, so I might be VERY tactfull how I would say this to Sean Taylor but I would tell him just the same. peace Go Skins! We have a team that "can" be a contender
