Can the FO be blamed for offering Kirk what they thought he was worth?

One of the old complaints about Snyder during the Vinny years was he was a fan boy and over paid for players.

If Allen is listening to his football people and then he is setting ceilings for resignings and FAs which means getting players who want to be in Washington to win and not just get paid.

We need a #1 WR and he could definitely do the job; however, he will probably cost some team $15M or more per year. That would be a big cap hit for the Skins.

Any number 1 WR is going to cost you that

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

We can afford 1, maybe 2 top FAs, If it was me, I would make Jarvis Landry 1 of them.

I would rather trade Kirk to Denver for Sanders and sign Poe or Logan and resign Brown. And get a top tier rb like Hyde or Bell.

We can't trade KC we don't have his rights. There were several pages dedicated to that concept here, but it's just not happening.

15 million is steeeeeppp! But Landry is only like 26 I believe. He should still play at a high level for 4 more years or so. Landry, Doctson, Crowder, Grant seems like a pretty legit top 4. I'd be ok with that move.

He wants to be paid signing the tag gives him his starting point for guaranteed money in talks.

And we would be on the hook for it if no one else bites. We can't tag cousins and sign Smith to his agreed deal, we don't have that much space.

Like I said this was hashed out earlier I doubt the group wants to go through it again but search for a poster Marco, he laid out how a trade is possible and all the rebuttals are in that thread.

You don't think they have already talked to teams?

They can't by league rules. They don't have his rights for next year. And Cousins team cant because he isn't free yet. If they did and it was argued we could lose draft picks be fined or any of a few other options available to the league.

Please don't make this into another Kirk Cousins thread by rehashing something that has already been discussed ad infinitum on this site.

I want a running back either Hyde or Bell. And the talk of trade was to get him a receiver.

They need a guy who can stretch the field.

I think Hyde could help us and signing him is probably doable. The money for Bell would be outrageous. I agree with you on needing some speed at WR. Why not draft a deep threat and go after Landry in FA to become our #1 guy?

I am not ready to give up on Doctson heck if they though Pryor could connect with Smith I would be ok with keeping him.
