Re: Skins vs. Steelers Positives and Negatives
The Steelers are the better team, but that had nothing to do with Cousins missing a bunny to Crowder that would have given us a 1st and goal, or the awful interception he threw when other guys were open, or throwing the ball out of bounds when he could have skipped for a first down, etc.
Also doesn't explain the penalties, or Kerrigan not falling on the ball. We shot ourselves in the foot in the 1st quarter then pooped our pants quarters 2-4. Things that will be a concern all year is stopping the run and rushing the passer. At this point its clear that Kerrigan is just an above average player, he'll never be elite, and our D-line is extremely devoid of talent. No push on the pass rush and no stopping the run. Our MLBs aren't much to write home about either. I'd like to see Spaight get some minutes. Cousins really needs to get it together vs good teams, its becoming extremely worrisome. And above all else, we need a new center, that was embarrassing last night.

Re: Skins vs. Steelers Positives and Negatives
Positives:
no injuries loss to AFC team - not NFC WRs and TEs came to play 1st quarter defense kicking game turnovers Negatives: penalties running game run defense Kirk (had some decent throws but was off most of the night) 2nd,3rd,4th quarter defense (shows that they adjusted and we had no answer for it) Breeland Island short week turnovers |

The Steelers outclassed us but it's one game, and it's a matchup driven league. I like how we match up against the Cowboys, now it's time to deliver.

Skins vs. Steelers Positives and Negatives
Dont be that guy.... Edit: we have been mediocre for as long as i can remember. Our schedule is as tough as i can remember in a long time. It doesn't take a genius or an overly keen observer to say 11 wins is a lot. But this is the second or third time you have scoffed at this team winning 11 games. You wont be lol'ing so much about it if we win 9 and the division. Which I think is everyones highest expectations regardless of our preseason pumped up predictions. Unfortunately last nights game was too big for him (perennial SB contender and perennial MVP caliber QB on the other sideline, first MNF game of the season, etc), and he was out of sorts for the most part. I believe he will learn from it and bounce back. |

Remember last year when Eli through the ball out of the back of the endzone when that was the one thing he should not have done? Even franchise quarterbacks make mistakes. Lets see as Cousins second year under center goes along if he does more good than bad before we write him off.... Yes though it was really bad. Lol. |

Re: Skins vs. Steelers Positives and Negatives
Predictable on offense.
One of my biggest concerns, when we play elite teams, is that they can dictate how the game is going to be played bc Mcvay/Cousins seem to always make the smart rational play and take what the D gives them. Like Kirk said in his interview, Steelers went soft zone giving Kirk the underneath throw. The Steelers know we cant run the ball so they give us the short stuff and wait for us to shoot our own self in the foot with a penalty or missed throw. Kirk and our offense is to robotic and rigid. Its like the D Coordinators are playing a computer and they know exactly what the computer will do in any situation and can bank on our predictability.

Re: Skins vs. Steelers Positives and Negatives
Admittedly no. I was counting on some kind of improvement coming in both sides of the running game, attributable to another year of coaching and continuity. So far that's not materializing and it's disappointing.
Adding the laughing smilie though is not a good look for you. You come across as more interested in being right than in the team winning as often as possible.

The laughing emote was because at this point, you have to laugh at the continued inept from this team at times. (especially in primetime) I have no interest in being right. I would rather you be right and our team go 11-5.

Skins vs. Steelers Positives and Negatives
I still think we can be a playoff team, we've got enough talent and room for improvement. One game doesn't make or break the season. We had a bad night against a good team. We had some chances and didn't cash in.
