That is a terrible analogy.

Well, it kind of applies in two ways:

1. It was so long since we won a division title. Seriously, when was the last time before 2012? 1999? Winning the division was kinda new thing for us.

2. The sunk cost. 3 1st round picks and a 2nd round pick, for a guy that regularly gets destroyed on the field, losing the big advantage he had: speed. I really don't blame Shanahan. We were making stupid decisions before him, barring McCloughan's work, we will certainly continue to make bad decisions via our telemarketing genius owner. And the system Mike and Kyle had for RGIII worked! It's just a shame Griffin gets injured in any system we've seen him in, yes that include college and his knee injury then.

Absolutely correct. RG3 would never choose to sit behind Romo for two years, that's how much longer they're financially wedded to Romo. After that, they could cut him and save cap space, but until that point it would too costly to cut him.

So if you're Robert, why would you choose that when you could go someplace else and compete for a job now?

Eagles are more of a possibility than the Cowboys, in my mind. Texans are the most likely of all.

Re: Trade RG3 to Dallas?

I would really watch Andy Reid in kanas city. I think rg3 would fit the offense and Alex smith is in the last year of his deal. Reid loved rg3 coming out of school. Daniels...kc back up probably ends up with the Eagles

Re: Trade RG3 to Dallas?

At this point in Griffin's career he has to go wherever he's wanted.

A team is gonna pick him not vice versa.

Taylor noted that a member of the Cowboys front office said that In December one member of the Cowboys’ front office said, “Griffin was an even worse fit in the Cowboys’ offense than [Johnny] Manziel”.
Lol, people will say/write anything.

See to me other than the Texans maybe the 49's.

I'd be happy to watch him be good for any team that isn't in the NFC East. I am well aware his best shot at starting is not in the division, but I'll never rule anything out. I'm actually kinda rooting for him to succeed, I think this latest serving of humble pie will help him out. I don't care about the wasted picks anymore, we're just the latest example of why those trades are a terrible idea. Somebody else will come along in a few years and make us all forget about it. Winning obviously helps too.

Re: Trade RG3 to Dallas?

I think the only way he starts is because of injury, unless he is opening day starter on a truly desperate team....

I wish the kid all the luck in the world and don't think perceived humility or the lack has anything to do with Griffin's success/failure.
