Re: Jets pregame prediction thread

It could be a tough day for the Redskins vs. the Jets on Sunday as not only is left tackle Trent Williams not practicing but neither is center Kory Lichtensteiger who has a broken finger and banged-up shoulder. Lichtensteiger is not on the field. The Jets have one of the best defensive fronts and return end Sheldon Richardson from a four-game suspension.

Rite - but we apparently have no chance. Just like, The Rams, Eagles, and Falcons (close enough we had a chance).

Seriously, I'd rather have our 3 RBs than Chris Ivory, our WRs over theirs, our o line (at least, if moderately healthy) and even our QB over theirs. On d, hard to say we'd take our starters over theirs, except for maybe our LBs. it shouldn't be considered a gimme for the Jets at all. Just get to Fitzpatrick. And establish some consistency in the run game (don't have to rush for 185 yards to win). Should not be a close game if we go in looking to just hit them in the mouth all day. Someone needs to get pissed off. Jason Hatcher, would be nice for you to show up this season.

24-17 jets. we definitely have a chance, but I think the injuries and how poorly we play in the 2nd half of games makes it a hard one to win.

The offense manages to move the ball with mediocrity, can't find the end zone, and comes up with just three field goals.

However, they are bailed out by the defense and special teams with one TD a piece.

REDSKINS - 23
jets - 16

The third quarter is our worst. We're getting out-coached at halftime. The coaches need to improve in terms of halftime adjustments and motivating the players to come out fired up to play at the start of the second half.

Really bad news.

Redskins left tackle Trent Williams, center Kory Lichtensteiger and corner Chris Culliver and tight end Jordan Reed all are out for Sunday's game vs. the Jets, according to coach Jay Gruden.

Re: Jets pregame prediction thread

Other than the Giants game we were winning at the half. Generally speaking the teams losing at the half make better adjustments for the third not sure if I agree that is getting out-coached. I am more concerned about being resilient enough to make changes for the 4th quarter. The fact we had the lead going into the half in four games tells me the coaches have really done their homework and prepped the players leading up, but they need to get that 4th quarter taken care of and respond to the adjustments made by the other team.

we are gonna get effing killed. If D Jax plays it would help.

Kory L experience will be missed, but I guess LeRibeus gets the start? Is Morgan swinging over to LT or we going Compton or Nsekhe?

this could get ugly

Jay is gonna have to get the ground game going...I think we need to move Cousins out the pocket...I think draws, maybe shovel pass, and our screen game will be on the menu. End arounds with Crowder?

@TarikCSN: Jay Gruden said Ty Nsekhe will start for Trent Williams and Josh LeRibeus will start for Kory Lichtensteiger.

I think this is the right move. Morgan Moses has been one of the best Right Tackles in the game this year. Yes he has. So why not keep a good thing going on the right side and keep it stable? good move Jay

McRibeus could actually be an upgrade at Center.

Yikes. Weirdly enough, this is a time the Skins randomly pull out a win. Kory's blocking was leaving much to be desired this year, but his protection calls were key. I DO trust Callaghan to get everyone right. It's the LT position I'm super concerned about. Jets LIVE off of scoring after turnovers and I just have a nightmare of someone hitting Cousins' blindside.
