Re: Pastabelly chat
What was AJ Feeley worth to the Dolphins? A second round pick? I can't imagine Ramsey can actually be worth less than that

Re: Jets contact Skin's
I agree that we need a competant BU, as Brunell probably won't last all season and naturally, we will need him fresh for the Superbowl. However, If they are thinking of dealing PR, they won't take the first offer unless it is sweet. I'm sure the Skins will want to sweat em' a little, and PR, and agent can put some heat on the Jets as well. Will be interesting for the next day or so.

Re: Pastabelly chat
if we trade ramsey we could potentially be in the same position that the team we traded him to is. that is, the top two QBs get hurt and you're left with a mutt. i doubt that we're ready to just throw campbell in there. some feel that brunell is the better QB and others ramsey. at this point it's nice to have a good backup (whoever you feel that backup should be).
i feel ramsey will stay for the season. |

Re: Jets In The Market For Qb!
vinny wants to play, and now he'll be able to be the unquestioned starter... I think that's more important to him than personal grudges, its a game for the young and he got old on them.

Re: Jets contact Skin's
if ramsey is the guy they really want then we can get something more than a 4th rounder hopefully :P
why wouldn't they aim for rivers or leinhart instead though? kitna is old but pretty good... and the best backup is on the titans, but with mcnair so close to completely breaking down, I can see why they'd want to hold him for now. |

Re: Pastabelly chat
if its a 1st or 2nd or a player that could start here, i'd definately consider it... this trade (whether it happens or not) depends a lot on how good sexton is at getting his client's wishes.

Re: Pastabelly chat
Please, not another Jets - Ramsey debate.
I think we have that thread well established already. |

Re: Jets In The Market For Qb! (MEGA MERGE)
Rivers and Leinhart are college QB's that won't be any good in the NFL for couple of years. The Jets want somebody ready right now. They have a good D and a playoff team; their window for getting to SB is now. They do not have time to groom a rookie. They may want Ramsey this year and up their offer.
Gibbs and Snyderatto should send Ramsey over to the Jets for a work out. I think Ramsey could impress them with his arm strength. Gibbs did give up on QB Jay Schroeder and traded him to the Raiders for Jim Lachey. |

Re: Jets In The Market For Qb! (MEGA MERGE)
pennington blew out the rotator cuff. i just want to say that i like ramsey, i have wanted and want ramsey to succeed here. but, i 'm not the coach and i defer to gibbs completely. does that mean he's correct 100% of the time. no, but we all know that he does things out of his desire to see this team succeed. let's remember he's staked his name on this. he didn't have to come back. but i am sure glad he did.C'mon Skins

Re: Jets In The Market For Qb! (MEGA MERGE)
Looking ahead to QBs possibly available in the offseason-how long do the Bucs plan on keeping both Griese and Chris Simms? And what are the Bears going to do with Grossman/Orton? Will they both stay?

Re: Jets In The Market For Qb! (MEGA MERGE)
I would think they would be able to afford them both if they all play well.
