Re: Redskins vs. Seahawks Pregame Thread
Didn't Tampa Bay get the crap kicked out of them a few weeks ago? Then they go into Pittsburgh and steal one. Atlanta beat up on Tampa, then turn around and get beat by a rookie QB making his first start. It's a week to week league. Skins show up and give Seattle a game but lose a close one.

Yeah, at this point, that debate would be pretty one-sided... especially if you factor in how much each guy cost. Although if Wilson played on as bad of a team as Griffin and Griffin stayed healthy, there could still be a good debate. Unfortunately for him, "if's" don't mean sh*t.

Re: Redskins vs. Seahawks Pregame Thread
I am so bummed that we are almost ready to play out the string, and it's the beginning of October. Chalk Seattle as a loss and a 1-4 start. Gruden isn't committed to establishing the run, like most WCO coaches that are enamored with their own passing attacks.

Re: Redskins vs. Seahawks Pregame Thread
It is a moot point now. Seattle's FO is obviously trying to build and maintain a winning product, while Snyder was/is just after creating excitement surrounding one player. Football is definitely one sport where one guy isn't going to make all the difference in the world. I like RG III, but the hype and the expectations were just too unreal, and our FO/Owner gave in to the grand delusion. Seriously, non of these overhyped QBs of the last decade have panned out and lived up to expectations(Leinart, Bradford, etc). All were system Qbs or just had the athleticism to excel in the college game, where offenses still enjoy somewhat of an advantage if the teams opposing each other are of equal caliber or one is indeed a lot better. One thing I will say though, Robert has learned to slide and protect himself better, but he obviously needs to grow more comfortable in the pocket, and that will take time. My worry is that in that time period, if they do put him in to save the season is that he gets takes another blow to the knee or ankle and then it is game over for good. That is why I say risk tanking the season and keep Cousins in when RG III is cleared and give Robert time to get comfortable within the new system. Face it, we aren't going to win the SB, nor are we playoff caliber, even if Kirk somehow rebounds from his dismal TNF performance.

Re: Redskins vs. Seahawks Pregame Thread
I think we're too banged up to put up a fight. If the defense was pretty healthy, I would say we put up a fight against the running game, and make it a decent game.
Even if the defense was healthy, Seattle's pass rush is too much for our mediocre o-line. Oh well.

Re: Redskins vs. Seahawks Pregame Thread
One is an injury prone QB with talent/potential, the other is a good QB that has an AMAZING defense and running game around him. So what's there to discuss? Wilson is not the only reason Seattle is winning, RG3 is not the only reason Washington is losing.
