Re: Redskins Trademark cancelled
Its safe to say that this is the beginning of the end. I suspect the Skins and the NFL already have the team's new name and logo ready to launch when the time comes.

Some of you have way too much faith in the legal system to think this is anywhere near a quick resolution. They've been down this trademark road before.

Re: Redskins Trademark cancelled
Time is not on the Redskins' side. The people are not on the Redskins' side. Change is coming.

Re: Redskins Trademark cancelled
This shows how much this has not been an issue in the past. Everyone is all over facebook posting about the trademark ruling, even though it has happened before. Everyone is posting on facebook the commercial that ran during the NBA finals, even though the commercial ran before...I believe it was during the Oscars, can't remember.

Re: Redskins Trademark cancelled
Synder should change the name to the Fed's . Put the US Capitol on one side of the helmet , the White house on the other . Put a second " Big screen " in the Stadium , show the ticker with our national debt running . Every Sunday ( or MNF ) , I would have on the screen a picture of " ass- of the week ", and have a politician's name and picture showing what they have done to hurt working Americans . Our home opener , have harry reid dressed like a dallass cowboy , nyg and an iggles cheerleader .

Re: Redskins Trademark cancelled
The Redskins have managed to keep the trademark based on technicalities. They better have another technicality up their sleeve this time around because things are most definitely different this time.

Re: Redskins Trademark cancelled
This is ultimately a losing battle. They are losing in the media, losing in the general court of public opinion and now in the courtroom. There is no upside in prolonging a public battle where you end up just looking like an ass. Even if they win and are able to keep the name, the damage to the brand is constantly happening every time the story recycles. At some point the smart move is to make the move, put a spin on it like it's your idea/coming to your own conclusion and make a positive out of it.

Re: Redskins Trademark cancelled
This blows monkey ass.
I have been collecting burgundy and gold Redskins t shirts sweat shirts and jerseys and coffee cups etc etc for about 47 years. And now pinhead politicians and treehuggers are going to make it all stop. This country is turning into an over regulated Brady Bunch circle jerk.

Re: Redskins Trademark cancelled
And the "winners" in this issue if the name is argued in court? Attorneys (like everything else).
Why is this just now an issue? Oh yeah, POLITICS...jeeze. Hope it can be faught successfully without costing a bizzillion dollars.

Re: Redskins Trademark cancelled
Woohoo! So glad this has happened. Another victory for justice and perseverance! The sooner we get this name changed the sooner we can get back to forgetting Native Americans exist!
