Though WASH reached out to him last week, Vanderbilt HC James Franklin has no interview planned with Redskins. Sounds like PSU or Vandy.
hmmm, this article says he is coming in on Thursday for an interview.

I would be stunned if the Skins hired this guy. IMO it would be like Spurrier all over again.

I think Briles fits more of the Spurrier mold, not Franklin.

Re: Pick Your Next Redskins Head Coach

This is a good hire. Those against it are irrationally against it. It is fine to have quibbles but I don't see a "perfect" candidate out there. Jay has been a HC coach before, knows how to succeed and is respected. Now we see what kind of staff he puts together and then see what he can do. Maybe he'l be terrible. Maybe not. No one knows. But you can;t convince me this is a bad hire. I like it.

Re: Pick Your Next Redskins Head Coach

The more I read on Jay Gruden the more comfortable I get with this (potential) hire. I can see Raheem Morris and Sean McVay as the DC and OC also.

^^ The same thing could have been said of the Seattle OC.
