Re: Ramsey wants to be traded (merged)
1 int, 2 fumbles, on 3 drives, equals ramsey demoted to backup. as much pressure was on ramsey to succeed, he didn't step up. you can look at how many yards he threw, but yards don't mean anything. brunell threw 325 yards vs. dallas last year, but check the final score. we still lost, didn't we?

Neither do TO stats, as you pointed out 2 fumbles, without pointing out we only lost 1, you also didn't point out that Ramsey was almost decapetated on the other with an illegal hit and nothing was done, you also didn't point out that Patrick had just directed a TD scoring drive only to have a phantom call by the ref take it away and put him in a position for an illegal hit, in front of the entire football watching world in which the ref's just didn't happen to catch that one! As far as Im concerned Patrick had 1 early INT that was obviously his fault, he then started to right the ship and move the ball coverting 3 consecutive 3rd downs as he continued to drive the ball on a very good defense, it's funny how no one want's to credit Jansen with that fumble for basically missing his block and driving the LB into Ramsey and causing that fumble. |

guess only Gibbs could answer my question, and he did. from http://washingtontimes.com/sports/20...0139-8826r.htm "Gibbs wouldn't second-guess himself as some are in asking why the coach didn't make the change in the preseason to get Brunell more work. "I don't really deal in the hindsight thing," he said. "In pro sports, you can't go back and think about the past, you have to deal with the future and base your decisions on what you think is best."" |

As they say in the financial community ... past performance is not always a good indicator of future earnings/opportunities
