That's rediculous. We're fans, remember? You can have opinions about who should be the starter and all, but to wish harm to that you root for? Come on.

I do hope you're a teenager, it would be sad if a mature adult thought like that.

Re: Brunell Starting

If we lose to Dallas, and it relates to the similar instances of last year, I will not know what to say except..... please tell our coaches how incompetent we look when we make such moves and insert Ramsey back into the postition and give him the real shot he truely deserves.

Re: Brunell Starting

Well I have gone on record as saying I don't think last year was all Brunell's fault. And regardless of the fact that it was against 2nd stringers this preseason Brunell showed that he still makes good decisions and has some zip on his passes. I was happy to see that Brunell could still play this game and was pleased to see that we had a solid backup QB who could step in when called upon.

Well now he's been called upon and I'll be driving the Brunell Bandwagon with Matty riding shotgun. I'll be in a neighborhood near you next Tuesday morning to pick up the Redskins fans that want to get on board.

I think we need to have faith in our legendary Coach and the team we support.

Re: Brunell Starting

This had to have been a tough call for Gibbs. Does anyone really believe that he made this call all by himself? I know he has the final decision, but I have to think that Williams, Burns, Bugel, and Musgrave had plenty of input on it.

Now, for those of you out there blaming Joe for making this decision, would you be so upset if you found out the Greg Williams went to Joe and said they needed to make the change? They may believe that Ramsey is just a sitting duck and Dallas is going to kill him?

I know that if I were a defensive coordinator I would have looked at the bears game and decided to take my chances with all else blitzes. It looks like Ramsey is going to cough up the ball every other time.

I'm sorry but the message was simple, protect the ball or I'll have to use some means other than words to convince you. Don't forget Gibbs did this to Rypien.

Angry What a joke

Gibbs went from being a hopeful savior to now the making us the laughing stock of the NFL. It is funny that he stuck w/ Brunell so long last season went he stunk up the joint and now after one qtr of play he pulls Ramsey based on "performance reasons." Lets compare yesterday's stats Ramsey 18 mins and 52 secs was 6 for 11 for 105 yards 1 Int. The int was the first drive and adrenaline may have had something to do with it. The fumble was no way his fault, should have been a 15 yard penalty and it would have been first and 10 from the 7. Brunell in 41 mins and 8 secs. was 8 for 14 for 70 yards. No TDs and he had Portis & Betts totaling 150 yards. Performance my butt! It is for no other reason but he didn't pick PR himself.
No other league personnel feel that MB has what it takes anymore except for Gibbs. I keep hearing the Brunnel looked good in the preseaon, He played against the scrubs in every game. Remember when Danny Wuerfel & Shane Matthews (sp) looked good in preason! If he isn't going to play Ramsey might as well go ahead and play Campbell and give this season a purpose b/c with Brunell in there it is a worthless cause. 8 men in the box forcing him to make those cupcakes deep balls he throws. Gibbs better be glad we don't have a home game for 3 weeks b/c he won't have to listen to the fans booing. Can't wait for the skins to look like morons on MNF next week.
The Skins are going to trade Ramsey and watch he will turn oout to being the next Bret Favre. Ramsey ask to go to Baltimore, You would thrive there!

Is there anything in the rules that says you have to be honest about which QB you're going to start?

Re: Brunell Starting

gusbus I deleted your thread and moved your post into this thread.

Just a note to everyone Brunell vs. Ramsey is obviously a hot topic but let's try to limit the number of threads we start on it.

Re: Brunell Starting

With all the negative posts out there I wanted to just say that:

Im a Skins fan first.

I believe that Gibbs is a better judge of football talent than me, or Bradshaw, or any of those idiot reporters out there.

If Brunnel is the starter, I will be behind him yelling out support as loud as I can.

That is what real fans do.

TAFKAS, pull me up onto the bandwagon!
