Redskins-Packers Gameday thread

Week 2. On the road(glad it's not week 14 on the road at GB). Will the Skins bounce back? Continue the offense from the 4th period. Will they reduce the penalties? What is the minimum they will score? Without referring to Madden's golden line of scoring more points than the opponent to win, what amount of points will be needed to win?

Can the defense stop ARodgers, without letting Lacy run all over them. Will they keep runners stopped before Rambo has to be the last man standing?

Offensively, the two teams looked very similar last week:
GB off yds 385, Was 382
GB Rush 63, Was 74
GB Pass 322, Was 308

Defensively, we gave a lot of running yard, they gave a lot of passing yards. I expect that to be reversed this week.

My, still basking in offseason confidence, prediction - Washington 35, Packers 31

Re: Redskins-Packers Gameday thread

So many people are picking us to lose. Which is exactly what happened with Philly last week is everyone was picking them to lose.

I think we lose because Clay Matthews can make plays on defense, and Randall Cobb is one of the best slot WR's in the NFL. He's going to make DHall, Josh Wilson and Biggers look awful today and expect a lot fans to say "WHY DO WE KEEP _____ (DHall/Wilson)?!?" Or a lot of "______ F#@king Sucks" throughout the game with Cobb blowing right by them.

Aaron Rodgers, as good as QB he is, is not my main concern. And for some odd reason, the Redskins always seem to play the Great QBs pretty well.

I think offensively, Jordan Reed will abuse the Packers LBs. The same goes for Fred Davis. I expect a big TD from Aldrick Robinson. Morris should get back to normal today and have a typical Alf game from last year. I think Griffin looks good--better than the first game, first half, but a little worse than the 2nd half. Green Bays pressure is going to get Robert a little shaky in the pocket. Plus Dom Capers will disguise some blitzes to make RG3 second guess and get sacked.

Re: Redskins-Packers Gameday thread

I see a few offensive scoring fests, ours and NYG/DEN being the two biggest. I don't think any of those 4 defenses are going to consistently stop the opponent. I would not even be surprised to see multiple teams in the 38-45 range.

We never seem to have good luck when everyone predicts us to win. I'd much rather us be the underdogs.

Re: Redskins-Packers Gameday thread

I expect much more from our running game this week and offense to abuse their secondary. That was not typical Alfmo last week and Griff should be more relaxed and in rythem now. The D-Line needs to play better and get some pressure on Rodgers. Looking for a close game with us coming out on top. Just hoping our kicking game doesn't lose it for us with Kai not being 100%. This would be a great time for C. Thompson to take one to the house. Our LB's should wreak havoc today. They do...and it's gonna be alot of fun.

Re: Redskins-Packers Gameday thread

Apparently the weather is crappy and rainy in Green Bay. I wish this would help us more than hinder us.

If we use more of the RO this week it just might Rave. Even in dry weather last year it made a lot of DE's look like they were stuck in mud.

Like I said in another thread, Kyle throws the book at Capers whose combover unfurls.

Re: Redskins-Packers Gameday thread

Whoever wins the turnover battle, wins this game. Without T/O's last week, we would have had a different ball game. Let it rain, let the mud get thick. Alfred should have a monster game.
