Three turnovers, a safety, a QB with a 22.1 rating at the half.......and somehow it's Shanahan who's being out-coached.

Not pointing any fingers won't do it. It was a team effort just won't point a finger at any individual. We win and lose as a team.

If you mean improvement by Biggers and Rambo, I'm not sold. I just think they're both poor open field tacklers. I doubt that we'll see much better tackling at the safety positions until we have Brandon Meriweather and Tanard Jackson back. That is if we get one or both of them back. The earliest I'm expecting to see much improved safety play is after the Redskins' bye week. I'd like to be wrong about that.

Pretty much...what they ran looked like Oregon and the tempo did too....even one of the players said they didn't run anything they didn't see on film. Haslett waited too long to start coming after Vick. And their D coordinator pretty much had no respect for our offense or our passing game. Last night, they were the better team, no excuses.

Re: Skins v Eagles post game thread

Just wanted too add my post game thoughts, still trying to read through the whole thread. So I'm probably repeating what others have said.

1. Alot of missed tackles, reminded me of watching the Giants Sunday night.

2. RG3 gonna be fine, but hopefully a little bit humbled from last night.

3. Pass protection still is an issue, we struggled last year at times, we are only middle of the pack in this area.

4. Still need a receiver with great hands, when the QB isn't super sharp. I don't feel like we have this guy on the roster yet.

5. Can Vick really take that many hits? Seems like minimum pass protection most of those plays.

we hit vick a bunch and how many sacks did we have? 4? and thats with RAK getting 0

Biggers and Rambo are not ready and should not be out there right now. I think I was wrong about Jackson. We might want to give him a call.

So wish we had got Boldin probably impossible considering our cap number but he just been awesome for Bob.

Re: Skins v Eagles post game thread

I am not willing to throw Shanahan under the bus completely. It's just one game. And MS certainly has turned our franchise around.

That said, all of the missed assignments, missed tackles, and lack-of-concentration plays indicate that the team was not mentally ready. That is a coaching failure. On this note, he was outcoached.

Given that the season is long, and it is better to look good in December than in September, perhaps Shanny was just going easy on folks week one, thus resulting in our embarrassing showing.

Yeah, I can't give any passes on missed tackles. That has nothing to do with scheme. That's just basic football.

If that's the case, then it is on Haslett to not have adjusted earlier.

Re: Skins v Eagles post game thread

I'm a little pissed. I saw D. Hall, Garcon, Merriweather, and Fred Davis boozing it up around 11 pm Sunday night in Arlington. And it seems that 3 of those 4 didn't show up to the game on Monday. I thought players had curfews.
